Went with a Physics class a couple of years ago.

The best thing there was ducks in some hats. I just about pissed myself.

There was a Hungry Jacks too. That was exciting (and expensive)

Macca, I do both those obsessions and still get time to yell during the game. I was that tightly wound last week I nearly had a heart attack.

We are the Adelaide Football Club, not some State of Origin side. :mad:

Too many finals on a saturday afternoon.

I have to go down and work the canteen at our netball finals :mad::mad:

i suppose a lot of people cant make it due to those commitments

Sorry but that's a pretty lame excuse. You're not even playing netball you're just working the canteen?? If you really wanted to go, you would. But I guess that's where passion comes into it, obviously your passion lies with canteens.

As for me, I just cracked open my first TED, heading off for a BBQ in a minute, should be nicely toasted by the time I arrive so I can abuse Dale Thomas & watch the Crowies storm to victory :)

Ha Ha Ha......

No actually, I dont HAVE to work at the canteen I am volunteering and I wasnt referring to commitments as those volunteers but those who are actually playing in the finals.....you couldnt possibly let your own local team down in a final to go and watch the footy.

As for me, unfortunately I have my thesis due.....So I cant really afford to take the whole day off to go and watch the game, and where I live it literallky would take the whole day..........Or should I give up my years worth of uni work, and career/jpb next year for a footy final???? Ill be watching as much of the game I can, from home... ducking off to work the canteen for an hour and racing back to watch the rest..WHILE sitting at the computer and typing up my thesis in between..

Some crows supporter you are. :thumbsd: A knockout final with all this years efforts by the players on the line today and you call it a nothing final. :mad: No wonder we are struggling to get past 40k if that's the mentality of a large section of our supporters.

I'm sorry but two weeks ago we knew we were more than likely to be holding a final (first week more likey than the second) and you didn't bother to put $40 aside in case we did. Unforgiveable.

The show comes every year, always has and always will - home finals don't necessarily come every year. As I said, unforgiveable.

There are some poor attitudes by fellow Crows supporters.

PS : A season ticketholder at work isn't going coz he can't have his usual seats. You don't reckon I gave him a blast. Piss poor!

Geez, our finals crowds are depressing. I've long argued that the stadium is a major part of the issue but the more I think about it the more I think it is the supporters that are the problem.

Let's say we have X, Y and Z-type supporters:
X - have genuine reasons not to attend the game
Y - have bullshit reasons not to attend the game
Z - have genuine and bullshit reasons not to attend the game, but do anyway

We don't have enough Z types. No doubt we have some passionate, loyal and dedicated supporters but not nearly enough. Despite our bloated membership figures we are not one of the genuine heavyweights of the competition and will never be while our stadium is 3/4 full.

U have inspired me to get drunk today in order to fire myself up further. I usually don't drink at AAMI cos I have to drive but my girlfriend is going to day so she can drive home ha ha!

I totally agree. Exactly same theory works with the Port home showdowns. Not wanting to go cos it is a Port home game counts as a bullshit reason.

Fact is we have a hell of a lot of tightarse supporters as well. There's no getting around that either.

Cant say ive heard that one before.

Given Collingwoods good record here and the fact its a knockout final, I would have thought its anything but a nothing final.
