More direct score involvements than a Gosnells drug moll.

More pressure acts than Ron Jeremy's **** ring.

More pure footy goodness than we probably deserve.

The first goal Cerra ever kicked for Freo, Mitch "The Cow" Crowden was running alongside him as he went through his run-up - to be in position A for the after-goal cuddle.

The first time anyone shaped up to Slayshaw, Mitch "The Cow" Crowden was there to remind folks who grew up pushing recalcitrant cattle around.

He's a genuine footballer this bloke. Head like a robber's dog. No real idea there is anything else in life. Happy to kill and be killed for his mates in purple.

God bless you, Cowboy Crowden. Your blood is worth bottling.

Love the way he's prepared to take the tackler on. Footy's too easy for Cowboy Crowden. He seeks the contest. He lives for it. He comes at ya, then beats ya, and then dishes it off for yet another score involvement.

He has improved with every game we have put into him.

He will go to another level on Sunday and there will be a few blue and yellow's looking over their shoulder when he is around!

When he hits them they stay hit, a good old fashioned midfielder/forward who runs all day and can hit up someone on the lead.

What I liked about him was not just his work rate and hardness but the knack he has of getting the ball in congestion and coming up with a cheeky little hand pass or kick to set-up an attack. He did it a few times on the weekend. Even did a 20m grubber kick which set-up a goal I think (this may have been unintentional but I'll give him the benefit of doubt).

His handballs are always to the receivers advantage; in the hands and in the trajectory of his motion. Unlike most of our other handpasses which are at the toes, behind receiver etc.

If this kid keeps on improving we have a player on our hands. And pretty sure he is either Ballas' height or an inch taller, at least that's the way they compared on the w/e.

I thought his game was better than Cerras or Brayshaws

Loved his game live, and watching the replay you can see the effort and tenacity that he plays with. There was a passage of play where Sandi handballed to space and Crowden put on the jets to collect it and keep the ball going forward. When you consider the time it took Blakely to adjust, Mitch is well on track. He's a great addition.

Man, does he have an odd body shape though :D

Reminds me of Neale in ways. Early Neale days for those that remember - he was at the bottom of the pack firing off handballs so fast others struggled to catch them. Sight to see. Having two shorter, low centre of gravity players gives us good rotation options under the packs.

Look forward to seeing Crowden develop

Like his attack all round. Attack on the ball & attack on the man. Naturally wants to play on which translates to attack on the scoreboard. He will settle and his game awareness will improve with time but his instincts will stay the same. He's turning 19 in 5 days which is pretty amazing. Derby win will be a great birthday present.

His handballs are sublime! And his kicks (when he gets them off in time) are like the arrows from Cupid's bow straight to the heart!
And the great thing is no one from the opposition has realized he is our most important player, therefore they are unprepared for his devastating skills.

And he won me a carton with his last game.

He took a few games to pick up the pace of the game but he was great on the weekend.

His center of gravity is so low even AFL tacklers are having trouble bringing him down.

Agree, wasn’t against him going down to peel and getting used to the pace a little more, but seems to have settled well.
Glad he’s improving every week. All 5 young lads got heavily involved sat. Great to see

Wait til North hits form again. He injured himseld at the start of the season. Had an outstanding pre season and has come back just before Peels bye round.

I honestly think he'll turn some heads too.

Maybe Ross will add a 6th debutant later this season.
