I lasted till Level 10, could never get going, could never hit a flop.

Mate survived with 64k, 1.5x the average stack.

$40 commission on a $240 event is steep. Should be a $230 tournament.

The $240 is just a cash grab because they put up a guarantee, the other $200 events had a $30 rake

I started well and chipped up to about 13.5K, had KK once on the BTN, 3-bet and got 1 caller, C-bet J high flop for a fold

Never had a showdown pot, mostly 3-betting late position with medium hands, never really pulled any tricks

After that though it was all down hill, lost 1/3 of my stack with AQhh

Then went card dead for the next 3 hours and the AQ hand didnt really leave me with stealing capabilities without committing my stack, and never had anything to do it with. Eventually got it in pre A8 against AT and didnt improve, ended the night at about 10:30

Amanda started the day as the short stack with less than 9 BBs but managed to grind her way to 5th. Jarred Graham started 2nd in chips but surprisingly busted in 10th place. Minh started 9th and got heads up, could have easily won.

Brendon was an unstoppable force though, a phenom at 20 years old, and will have to wait till next year to play the World Series. Get this for a sick house. Brendon lives with Aaron Benton (2009 APPT Grand Final champion) and Renne Carnevale (2010 ANZPT Adelaide Main Event champion). Three housemates all take down a big tournament within 7 months of each other!

am I the only one that wouldnt mind seeing the back of the team events? If a teams event was replaced for a standard $230-$340 HA (PL holdem/Omaha) I think it would be a hit, even if they just wanted a norml NLHE/PLO event

Have you ever played one? Teams events are a lot of fun, and worth hanging onto as long as they continue to draw entries.

Yes I've played some and really never liked them

The thursday thriller is fun, a teams event can get pretty boring imo

But hey they dont make the schedules for me only, if people like them and they draw numbers then its all good I wont protest
