Ashley do you track your cash games? I've just started making an excel spreadsheet of my sessions. Kinda interesting. Or are you a tournament player?

Used to track cash when I wasn't sure about whether I was profitable in cash and was curious as to my win rate, dont track any more though.

Play a mix of cash and tournaments however have played less poker recently as I plan to give it up long term soon

This may sound like an idiotic question, but can't something be done about the extremely high rake at Crown Perth? For example, if enough people know each other in the room, they could organize a walk out. I know a card room where this happened and it worked. After 3 days of a large part of the player pool not playing, the Poker Room lowered the rake.

Are there no home games in Perth to avoid the high rake? Or other options?

Pretty hard to do. Private games are illegal for the most part, and the last thing you do when running an illegal activity is make it publicly know you are conducting illegal activities.

There has been a really weird/fun situation going on in Perth this week about someone convinced he was going to run a 10 table poker room out of his own house, using an apparent "loophole" to avoid the DRGL laws and print dollars as the organiser.

Looking at playing a tournament. Are you able to just rock up or do you need to register by a certain time?

you can just rock up before (or shortly after) the tournament commences.

If it's a biggish tournament then reg early to avoid a long wait

Same if you want to re-buy..... and then there is about 30-40 mins of getting through the extra players with the clock paused. Can go for a while

The night I made the FT (a few months back) there were no alternates though.....It depends on the night
