Crows Smash Power in Showdown Prelim.

Dual Brownlow medalist Patrick Dangerfield dominated from the get go to lead a rampaging Crow outfit into a Grand Final appearance with the Western Bulldogs.
Things didn't go well for the power after captain surprisingly won the toss and kicked against the breeze. The crows stormed out of the blocks and put on a dominant display in the first stanza to open up a n insurmountable lead. Things didn't get any better for the power however as the gap was increased at every break.
Dangerfield wasn't alone in his Herculean effort and was able assisted by his midfield containing the best brother combo in the league of Crouch. Sloane was everywhere to mop up and the outside run and spread was pinpoint thanks to the likes of James Aish and Chris Yarren who have slotted into this rampaging outfit like a glove.
Tall Swing man Jake Carlilse was dominant as he roamed the ground in forward and defence wherever need.
The AFL record breaking attack led by spiritual Captain Tex Walker didn't miss a beat kicking ridiculously accurately from any angle. Small Forwards Betts and Cameron combined for 8'goals while the powers chances took a hit where there was a sickening but fair collision between Josh Jenkins and Power players Alipate Carlisle and Jack Hombsch. Both Players were concussed effectively leaving Port a man down early in the second.
The Crows now go into next weeks GF full of confidence after season wins over the Bulldogs by an average of 15 goals.

The best thing about this one is that the most unrealistic part is the Bulldogs having won a Prelim.

'Crows claw Hawks'

The Adelaide Crows have ended their recent hoodoo against the three-peat Hawks, storming their way to a 46-point victory over the reigning premiers on Thursday night.

Played in chilly but otherwise perfect conditions, the game see-sawed during the first term before Adelaide's midfield kicked into gear, and from quarter-time onwards Hawthorn never looked like winning. The home side put on an explosive football clinic that we have become accustomed to seeing in the last few months from them - relentless attack and stifling defensive pressure.

Patrick Dangerfield racked up 18 contested possessions playing on Hawks skipper Luke Hodge. The Crouch brothers also dominated, and are quickly emerging as one of the best midfield combinations in the league. Rory Sloane was also at his brilliant best, kicking two goals as well. He was one of eight individual goalscorers for the Crows, led by Taylor Walker who booted five majors, including a 55-metre bomb after the final siren. Hawthorn dearly paid for the absence of defender Brian Lake, suspended for striking Lance Franklin last weekend. Adelaide's dangerous mosquito fleet was at it again, with four goals each from Eddie Betts and Charlie Cameron.

At the other end, key backmen Daniel Talia and Jake Lever performed admirably. Lever looks closer and closer to joining his teammate in the All-Australian team, despite being only in his second year. Hawthorn's Luke Breust kicked 4 goals, but Jack Gunston was held goalless and Jarryd Roughead managed a solitary major.

It was always going to be a blockbuster game. Both Adelaide and Hawthorn went into the clash with an 11-1 record, with the Hawks looking every chance to do what the Lions couldn't in the 2000s and win four flags in a row.

Now Adelaide are definitely firming as premiership contenders, increasingly dealing out thrashings as opposed to merely getting the job done as they did in the first few rounds. The Crows sit at the top of the ladder, their only loss by 3 points against Geelong at the Cattery in Round 4. It remains to be seen if they can keep up this form, but with the likes of Lever, Talia, the Crouches and Cameron in the team, the future looks bright indeed at West Lakes.
