Congratulations Garry Ayres!

Well done for putting Riccutio at full back and taking your best runner and ball getter out of the midfield.

I also heard that you took McLeod - a twice norm smith medallist - away from the play.

Add to that the dragging of Vardy and earlier in the year Jarman.

Robert Walls said it best on 3AW today - GARRY AYRES CAN'T COACH

Sack Ayres and they WILL improve, end of Story.

Adelaide will still reach the finals, but unfortunately 5th or 6th position and a home final is probably out of the question now.

I admit it looks unlikely in the wake of this defeat, but I predict Adelaide will finish 12-10 and gain a berth in the finals. There are ordinary sides above and below us.

Finally, it looks as though the Crows have caught on to what I have been saying for the past season.

He hasn't changed a bit. Last year he had Hocking at Fullback on Cresswell, Sholl in the forward line and was rucking with Darren Milburn while the interchange was Barnes, King, Mensch and Stoneham (all fit).

The man is an absolute MORON!

I can remember Robert Walls saying that the Crows made a mistake in not taking Bomber Thompson as coach, instead of Ayres. Obviously Walls has something agains Ayres (and I'm beginning to agree!)

After the five losses at the start of the year, people were getting restless, but with two p/ships under our belts, we thought, oh well, what the heck. Then we had a few wins, so things were rosey again. But the glow of p/ships starts to fade after a while, and reality sinks in. The team's performance on Sunday, playing an extremely important game, was little short of pathetic. Coaching had a lot to do with the miserable result, but players' skill (or lack of) also had a lot to do with it.

If this team makes the finals it had better improve 150% or it will be a laughing stock.

The players were responsible for that effort on Sunday, not the coach.

Ayres was right. It was a soft effort. The Dogs were harder at the ball all day, ran in numbers to get to the contest & in the end we gave up without a yelp.

Just not good enough!

Still there is always next week.

Buckley's and None.

I'm still waiting for that predicted Crow Tidal Wave that would swamp the cocky Bombers in the business end of the season. Bit hard to come like a frieght train if your not in the finals.

BOMBER BLITZ IN 2000!

Lets not forget to give the Bullys some credit here too. They were lethal in front of goals and Libba has his role down pat.

Bluecrow.

It's 2000 not 1998. The coach isn't the only thing to change. Players get old, get injured & get big heads.

I'm not convinced about Ayres yet. I know that gocatsgo doesn't rate him at all. But Ayres knows more about football than I will ever know & I'm sure he had good reasons for the match ups he used. he can't go out there & kick it for them.

Wall's comments about Robran on Whitnall are really not on. He had been playing well at CHB, turned the defence back into an attacking unit & certainly deserved 1st shot at Whitnall.

Ayres must be given a chance to do something with this side (we are still in the hunt for the 8 you know). The alternative is coach no.5 after 10 years which would put us right up there with Richmond & the Saints.
