drummond you have shown that your opinion is too biased in the past to be reliable. Sorry. If he wants to farrrk around then he risks the chop and he got it

BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T GOING TO PLAY HIM REGARDLESS! Oh man, this is pointless, you are simply too dumb to understand that it’s the off field issues that was what prevented him for making his debut. He has NOT been delisted because of his “inability” to play, if you think that you’re even dumber than I gave you credit for.

If YOU think that you are truly an idiot.

No one's questioning that his off-field issues have put him under the microscope, but man up and accept that if he absolutely CARVED in the SANFL he would have been retained. He has been a naughty boy and hasn't produced the football that could save him either. Failed on both counts.

NO HE WOULDN'T HAVE. If you think someone who has just turned 20 who in probably half of his SANFL games has been in the best few players is being delisted because of what he has shown ON the football field then you my friend, are seriously in need of a brain transplant.

Exactly right FD. If you are going to have to deal with off field issues you have to be an ABSOLUTE gun to hold your spot. If it was say Mark Seaby instead of Ben Cousins, hes gone..... Harry O Brian instead of Alan Didak.... same deal.

Probably doesn't have enough pace ;)

Dude we all like to have a little bit of lively debate here but if you are going to sit there and continually insult people well then you may as well just leave.

Bullshit FD.

He's good enough to be an AFL footballer.

Sure - Cousins, Didak, McLeod, Edwards, Fevola...see a pattern here? These are all great players; Pfeiffer is a mere child who has never truly exploded on-field, and has been poor off-field as well. Both have counted towards his delisting.

So, Edwards, Fevola, McLeod, Cousins, Didak - they all arrived in the AFL as mature twenty five year olds? They weren't even young and silly?

Pfeiffer is a mere child - apart from the condescending 'mere' I agree. He's a kid, so give him a ****ing break. You can teach a player disclipine, and you can give him a taste of it and make him want it - but you can't teach talent.

Pfeiffer better be re-listed.

And stop hacking on Drummond you tossers, everyone is entitled to an opinion, just because he's passionate and gets fired up doesn't mean he's wrong or you can jump on the bandwagon to abuse him.

I just don't understand how somebody like Didak...Sampi...Farmer..who'm are all older blokes get extra chances to stay at their respective clubs regardless of the off field issues.

Younger kids should be given a little more leeway.
Purely on talent..Pfeiff is ahead of Jericho, Doughty maybe a couple more..no doubts about that.

The only thing I can think off..is that Darren has done a few more nasties...that the AFC has not released to the public..that's what I feel has happened here.

Think you may be right here. Mate of mine who is friends with a few crows boys told me a few weeks ago that Pheiffer would be delisted and i scoffed at him. Said there had been other indescretions that hadnt been public knowledge.

Your talking about grown men with drug addiction problems, or a grown man associating with drug dealers, thugs and a murderer.

And you're comparing them to a guy whose just turn twenty, and whose biggest crime is staying out too late by twenty minutes.

Get a grip.

my question is did we try to trade pfeiffer?

unless we are hoping to redraft him (then why risk it just to teach him a lesson) then why the hell didn't he get traded?

either he has limited currency (no better than pick 59:eek:) and is overrated by our supporters OR we just stuffed up.

maybe rendell was too busy chuckling with scotty about the hudson deal?

Why would he chat to him? Pfeiff will be drafted by a lucky (or plain sensible) club this year.
Maybe he really is so stupid or disinterested in AFL that he'll do as you suggest and rant, rave and blame every one but himself for not being rewarded with a game and getting de-listed. And he can repeat the performance all again when he is not picked up in the draft.

Not his biggest crime but you can think that if you will.

Seems the Crows are trying to set an example to the AFL by getting the 'goody goodies' and ditching the rest. By the end of 2009, we'll have no one left in the team!

Connors is a decent example. Did you see his Debut? One of the most promising kids from last year.

I think we should email/send a letter/confront the Crows about this BS. Not that it'd do anything. Might get them to re-think about our draft picks.

Im not certain that a player who hasnt been good enough to break into an injury plagued team in two years, and who has behavioural problems would be in huge demand.

Oh FFS kid, have you not read anything I have written? You delete his off-field issues and he would have been retained, absolutely. BUT, given he has had off-field issues, he found his head on the chopping block. IF he had been dominating a la Knights at the same stage in the SANFL, the club would most likely have given him the benefit of the doubt and kept him on the list.

There is a fine line here, but hopefully you can settle and understand it: his delisting was brought about by off-field indiscretions, and unfortunately his one possible saving grace, on-field performance, wasn't impressive enough to make the AFC think twice. Disappointing but he might be re-drafted at some stage.

Settle pettle, youll pop a vein. Unlike the others, Darren has yet to take an SANFL game by the neck, the rest have (usually against the Blues:() but yes he has had some great games. Just wait until after the Draft, we may redraft him like Porps and Shirley. I dont think on field is an issue either but maybe a strict 1 year performance based contract was the way to go.

balanced viewpoint:thumbsu:

1 year contract was the go

This indicates to me, that we'll try to rookie list him. If thats the case, then it's probably a good idea to wake him up.

If not, we've majorly ****ed up. He would have decent currency and would command an decent draft pick.

maybe rendell was too busy chuckling with scotty about the hudson deal?

Rendell sounds like an absolute drop kick. "We'll have a laugh about it later"

Well Matt, they'll be laughing at you. Idiot

Blaming everyone but himself is something he didnt do. Took responsibilty for everything he did.

As for setting an example, you can only go so far with that. As KE did say, he hasnt broken the law or done anything MAJORLY wrong. Hopefully we are thinking of keeping him around but whilst I dont rate him quite as highly as Drummond does, I still think he could make a good contribution to our, or any, AFL club.

That is a real worry that is. My question is, who is he credited for recruiting at St Kilda?

He was never a recruiter there from my understanding, he was a match-day tactician working next to G. Thomas in the box. Which makes things even worse.

I'm going to put myself in the firing line here and say that we should probably wait and see how this draft goes before we complete his crucifixion, but god damn the signs aren't good. XD

Yep, kudos for getting rid of a 200 gamer.

We'll. Be. Sorry.

Jesus Christ mate, you throw tanties worse than my 2yo daughter.

Did it ever occur to you that the club seeing the kid day in day out 8 hours a day they may have POSSIBLY seen the inkling of some poor attitude towards the club, football, life in general etc that you with your seeing him play 2 hours every week in the SANFL might possibly have missed?

Given how completely wrong you have been calling Meesen the next '200 game gun' only for the rest of us to be finally proven right that he was a pea-hearted gug barely capable at the SANFL level, I would have thought you`d be more conservative before going off that another of your Norwood fanboi has exited the building.

The way you turn on the club at every single freakin thing that doesnt go your way is pathetic. Why dont you just go back to supporting the SANFL, because you sure as **** dont support the AFC.
