If Adelaide wants either Walker or Jacobs or both, they will have to make a deal that involves players and picks for them. And we are not talking about hacks like Sellars and any other non-first 22 players you might offer us. We are handing over proven AFL quality players, we dont want SANFL quality players you are trying to pass off as AFL quality players.

If Sellar is a hack and I am strongly suggesting he's not ....then given where both Jacobs and Sellar sit with their respective clubs are about the same.

Both have suffered from lack of opportunities .....Sellar mainly because he's still been growing into that 195cm body and the fact that his likely career position is as a FB/CHB which have been occupied by Rutten & Bock.

Both are leaving for greater opportunities

Sellar is 21 only and those type of players are normally 23+ before they fully mature as footy players ......he's not a hack though

Yep slow developer as a lot of talls are .......think Jolly and how he was delisted by Melbourne only to mature with age at Sydney and get better from there

Sit with both their clubs? Carlton wants to hold onto Jacobs....that's the thing you people don't get. Jacobs wants to leave not vice versa...we want him to stay bad!

Some facts:

Jolly was not delisted. He was traded and was playing good senior footy.

Sellar and Jacobs are not comparable. In 2010, Sellar hardly played. In 2010 Jacobs led the hitouts (yes, led Hampson and Warnock - and naturally Kreuzer who was interested) and played some excellent games culminating in a strong performance in a highly competitive and physical AFL Final.

Any suggestion that the two are in similar positions is rubbish.

I'm a bit scared about arguing with someone that uses the word vituperatively but I thought Warnock would've been a decent, realistic addition to our backline. Big bodied defender who did a great job on some big key forwards last year and finished 5th in Melbourne's B&F. Wouldn't have been that bad a recruit I don't think.
