Crows supporter, you're getting yourself all flustered by turning this trade into your own little personal battle. You're missing the point entirely. It doesn't matter what you think. It's no a debate, it's just a commentary on the current situation.

THIS is the situation as it stands:

1. Carlton have insisted on Pick 14 for Jacobs or No Trade.
2. Crows are in the process of deciding whether to proceed or not based on that cost.

That's it. Everything else is ready. He's happy to go to the Crows, has presumably passed the medical, and is delighted with the huge 1 mill+ contract you've offered him. It's up to your club to say yes or no now. If they say no, both clubs will move on and trade elsewhere. That's it. Easy.

BTW you still haven't told me what other ruck you think you'll get with your "Compo Pick".

If that's the case, you won't get Jacobs. You don't understand that it's our club officials who are demanding pick 14 or no trade, not me. I personally think we should be asking for more, but that's irrelevant . The crows are now in the process of deciding whether to accept the trade or not. I'm not that fussed either way. If the crows reject the offer, we'll just trade with another club, and you can keep your "Compo pick" and see if you can get Josh Fraser off the Pies or keep trying to play Moran and Sellar in the ruck. yeah i know that, but how hard can you play with a bloke who is not in your sides best 22, and has played 17 games. those are the facts about this bloke. even jonathon griffen was a young gun at age 22, now everyone is saying we'll be lucky to get a 3rd rounder for him.

We have the 2 best young rucks in the AFL in our team (i.e. Kruezer and Warnock). There's very few rucks in the AFL that could displace either of them, and both have a ridiculous amount of upside and 10 years ahead of them and so it'll get even harder. The problem we have is excess list talent, and it's difficult to hang onto players who aren't getting a game, You'll be kicking yourselves if you miss Jacobs, and there'll be another VERY happy team we'll do a trade with. Good luck trying to find another ruck with your "compo pick". I'm not too fussed if we trade with the Crows or another club. We'll do well either way.

the carlton officaials are obviously going to ask for the maximum, dont mean they'll get it. if carlton arn't going to accept the bock pick for a bloke who is not in their first 22, and more importantly requested a trade to adelaide, then they may lose him for nothing. why would he stick around on your list to play vfl when he could get picked up in the draft and play afl.

Our negotiators are pro's. It took a few days for amateur's like Freo and Weagles to cave, but they did eventually, although they wasted everyone's valuable time. Apparently crows are one of the more professional regional teams, so hopefully a decision either way will be made early, and we can get on with other trades. If no trade happens, crows will need to track down another ruck with their "compo pick", and we'll need arrange a trade with another club. Not fussed either way.
