i can't believe the people saying we wouldn't bother with Sam Jacobs. He is a bona fide number 1 ruck, was great today in a final and has had a good season.

Dsiagree completely. How many times has Maric produced 44 hit-outs in a game? Zero. He only had one game above 30 this season. And plenty of Jacobs's taps were clean and well-directed.

Maric is undersized, and doesn't have the around-the-ground skill of Jacobs - as evidenced by his regular poor-possession games.

It's funny you say "Jacobs doesn't have this or that" and compare him to Maric, when Jacobs is a 2nd year player and Maric is a 5th year player.

I'm all for Maric's heart, but he is a bona fide 2nd ruck. Jacobs is a potential gun 1st ruck. And he's already better than Maric.
