Just listening to Rendell on the radio. Is he mentally challenged? 2nd round pick for Jacobs :o

Just heard that myself. Who is he trying to kid?

Wood - Pick 14.
Jolly - Pick 14.
Warnock - Pick 24 & 56.
Mumford - Pick 28.

Yet the Crows are only offering Pick 33 for Jacobs after overpaying for Tambling. Rendell, you are a dill.

so what happens if Jacobs falls through to the preseason draft? Can he nominate a club and end up at Adelaide for nothing?

Looks like a case of who is going to blink first!

I thought the way they slid last year and then lost five of their greatest ever players plus their number one ruckman last year was bad enough. If Rendell has his way these guys will rival Brisbane. :o

yeh jus heard that sin, he seems to think pick 33 will get the job done for jacobs
Seems universally accepted (everywhere except the Carlton board) that Jacobs' value is a 2nd round selection (of which Adelaide has pick #33).

The Rendell interview was followed immediately by a Carlton supporter complaining that a 2nd round pick for Jacobs wasn't fair. The Carlton supporter was roundly shot down in flames by the Trade Week Radio crew, who are unanimous in agreeing with Rendell's valuation. They're in no doubt whatsoever that Jacobs will end up at Adelaide, it's almost as if the Crows are being generous by offering you pick 33.

You've got no chance of getting pick 14 - and never had a chance. You may have had a chance of getting the Bock compensation pick, but the inflexibility of Swan & Icke saw that opportunity disappear in the Tambling trade. Now it's pick 33 or nothing (ie PSD).

He absolutely can.

There are murmurings suggesting that Adelaide have paid overs for Tambling on an agreement that the Tigers won't take him if he slips to them in the PSD.

Not saying it's fact, but is certainly feasible.

BTW - the bitching and moaning on here about the Tambling trade is laughable. Are you posturing to cover your dissapointment on losing a trade option for Walker? Smells alot like it.

Carry on...

what about Jacobs for Armitage for St Kilda?

Not sure about that one.

Nathan Thompson crapping on (traderadio) about how Adelaide hold all the cards and Sam Jacobs will def end up there.

Someone enlighten me on the uncontracted situation, more specifically can we trade these players to any club and if so until when? Because I'd rather gain anything then nothing for these blokes.

You keep telling yourself that. You're as clueless as your list manager.

pick 33 is useless, i would rather Jacobs go in the PSD. With the slight chance you guys might offer pick 14 at the last minute of trade week

What makes Adelaide so confident Jacobs won't get picked up by another club before Adelaide in the preseason draft?

So do you think you'll get him in the PSD before one of:

West Coast
Richmond
Essendon
Brisbane
or Melbourne have a go?

On here are your 2 key words.

Dont like it piss off to your own board and enjoy the discussion on Tambling and what you gave up to get a hack. :o

what about Jacobs for Armitage from St Kilda?
Jacobs has to sign off on the deal. According to Matt Rendell "he's desperate to get to Adelaide". I can't see him signing on with St Kilda.

No.. he can't nominate a club. He can only nominate a salary and hope that nobody else is willing to pay the price he puts on his head.

I would be very, very surprised if this one goes to the PSD. Adelaide have offered pick #33, which IS fair (despite what most Carlton supporters think). The trade week deadline will approach on Monday and Carlton will be forced to cave - better to get pick #33 (which would be Carlton's 2nd selection in the draft) than to get nothing.

So we both get nothing. Great doing business with you.

You guys dont seem to place much faith in your recruiters if you think pick 33 is nothing. You might have Gold Coast having a bucket load of first round picks but you still have the chance of securing a reasonable player at 33.

You're Adelaide's parrot.

It will be karma if Walker plays on Tambling in the show down next year and rag dolls him all over AAMI park.
