Interesting that the crows guy came out and admitted their salary cap situation is very tight - they have little room left after signing up Tambling on a big contract. Any team in the PSD could outbid the crows. He won't even get past Bleakmond.

:)

Melbourne are offering up more for David Hale than the arse-clowns are for Jacobs...

Sydney offered more for Seaby

do the media watch AFL or populate twitter and plagiarise???

*screwy*

Melb offered pick 32, Crows 33...hardly more

You missed the point Zed...., it still is more and Jacobs >>>>>> Hale, your blokes seem to agree.

It sh%ts me when crows fans cry about pick 14 like its a normal draft.

Jacobs is probably worth pick 14 in a normal draft let alone in this one.
He's not worth pick 14 in this draft.. or any other draft for that matter.

gee rucks are cheap this year.

jacobs, hale, fraser, minson, blake, griffin all on the market & best offer so far is mid 30's ! looks like the new rules have dropped their price.

He is. Pick 14 is worth pick 20 in this draft. The situation is the cows want to get him cheaply. He'll end up at either the Saints or Richmond in the PSD at this stage. Doesn't bother us at all.

The difference is Hale is contracted and there are a few clubs in Melbourne interested. Big difference in the negotiating position.

Your probably right Vader, but he is certainly not worth pick 33 like your club is offering.

Whats been suggested is that pick 14 comes our way (or player of similar value) or he goes into the pre-season draft. In our view its your risk to lose him not ours, and you guys need him more than we do.

who buckles first, we will know by Monday 2pm.

Adelaide are a joke, they pay well over the odds for plodder Tambling then cry when they can't get Jacobs for free. Give us Talia or Pick 14 or get stuffed and try your luck in the draft.

If he goes to the pre-season draft we've got him
15 teams would be put off by him that he wants to go home (the same reason teams passed up on Josh Carr when he came back to Port)
and we're before Port, you're dreaming parrot if you think the pre-season draft is going to deter Adelaide
it has more chance of detering Carlton and forcing your hand to make a trade

it's either

trade to Adelaide for the 2nd round pick
attempt a trade with someone else and Jacobs says no (you seem to all be forgetting that not only do both clubs have to accept the trade, but also the players (and or managers on their behalf)). Jacobs wants back to Adelaide

You will only get him for more if you beg Port into it, then you may get more out of us.

It will be Jacobs for 2nd rounder, but if your recruiting departments try to pull something out of their arse again, you MAY get a spud like Sellar ontop, nothing more.

Otherwise he's going to drop to the the pre-season draft for nothing, and what to Carlton gain? nothing, what do Adelaide lose? nothing, hell, we'll probably get him for cheaper then what we would dealing with you.

We'll win, you'll lose, at least if you trade you have a chance of making it a win/win

You guys are funny, you should try stand up.

Swann & Icke = Dumb & Dumber
Just to recap your memory.

Swann and Icke =
Judd and Armfield for Kennedy, Masten & Notte
Henderson and Lucas = Fevola and Bartlett
Warnock and pick 69 on traded to Brisbane = Suban & Ben Bucovaz
McLean = Gysberts (let me tell you Gysberts back is not traveling to well)

All wins in a massive way for us...

Thanks for coming

A new failed poster.

- Teams passed up Josh Carr because he was old, washed up and slow. Jacobs is a fit, young ruckman.

- A second round pick for Jacobs does not equal win-win. AFC admitted as much when they let the Bock Compo go for Tambling.

Only way a deal will be done is if it is pick 14 or a decent young player who can play 150 games in a KP for the Blues.

Same thing has happened for the past 4 years when we trade with these amateurish regional teams. We tell them what they have to pay, then they spend the entire trade week sooking, and huffing and puffing, thriving on the media attention they get from dealing with our great club, and then a few hours before the dead-line.... they blink and it's over. Happened in 2007 with Judd, happened in 2008 with Warnock, happened in 2009 with Fev, and it'll happen in 2010 with Jacobs.

There is no reason at all to believe that Richmond would not take Jacobs in the pre-season draft you are dreaming if you believe this is not the case, more likely outcome is a compromise with Adelaide getting Jacobs & Carlton 2nd rounder for pick 14 or Mckernan or Talia.
