OK so as I rate them:

Walker: Pick 22-28 (not taking into consideration that he is contracted)
Jacobs: Pick 26-32

Sellar: Pick 40-45

SO hypothetically this situation:

Walker(25) + Jacobs (29) + pick 34 = Sellar (42) + Bock Compo (26) + Pick 49.

That is us getting ripped. A better deal for us is:

Walker (25) + Jacobs (29) = Bock Compo (26) + pick 32 + Myke Cook (35)

While numerically that looks off with us getting it over Adelaide. We can't use the Bock pick this year, next year it will be 26 but the year after it will be 18. That makes it likely we won't even use it for two years.

Jacobs stays

However, if it's true that Jacobs has requested a trade to an SA team, then

Walker stays
Jacobs traded to port for a deal involving Salopek

I can't think of what Adelaide has to offer us that "isn't untouchable" for either Walker or Jacobs... so i'm pretty confident that we won't be dealing with them (as per information available...)...

I know players like T Walker, Tippett, Davis, Henderson etc are a no go zone... and it is completely understandable... but taking first rounder of the table and McKernan... then there is absolutely nothing

FFS, Jacobs is worth a 1st round pick.

He is a bonafide ruck who has proven he can compete and even dominate at AFL level. He is 22 and yet to reach his peak as ruck really dont reach their best until 25ish.

He has 10 years service in front of him. He has shown a strong determination to improve himself considering the lumbering oaf that rocked up when we rookie listed him.

He is only leaving due to an oversupply of rucks that could all play at senior level.

This does not constitute a pick in the late 20's in a compromised draft with at least a dozen of the best young hopefuls already ripped out of the pool!

I'd rather the club play hard ball and lose him for nothing as opposed to agreeing to incredibly sub-standard offers. See if Sam is keen on living at GC!

Strange that Adelaide supporters are willing to rate Mckernan on potential yet refuse to project with either Walker or Jacobs. The pick 28 is being rated as a first rounder on promise at SANFL level, despite playing just the one game for the Crows.

Probably because Sellar is still only 21yrs old. Walker is 24. If Sellar hadn't improved by 24 yrs we certainly wouldn't still be talking potential. At 24 yrs of age, particularly a midfield tyoe, should be heading into their prime not still talking about potential.

No chance... Crows will not draft to fill a position only to open another gap somewhere else... TWalker can be the player that sets their structure for their next premiership... I doubt they'd swap him for anyone on our list... Judd or Murphy or Gibbs included

If McKinley comes to us it would be to play that role Walker played in the EF so the only way I could see us taking him is if Walker leaves.
