Htf is trading a struggling Sellar + 2 late picks in a compromised draft for Jacobs and AW fair??I wouldn't lose any sleep if Carlton refused to send the 3rd rounder back to Adelaide.
Jacobs & Walker for Sellar + Adelaide's 2nd + Bock compensation pick is still close enough to fair.
If Jacobs and AW are considered good enough to be in your best 22 then fairness suggests you need to give up a decent tall. Otherwise I'd expect (and hope) the Blues to just say no deal - keep your 2nd round + Bock picks and try your luck getting a quality ruckman and midfielder in the draft.
Re: Best team for 2011
Sellar vs McKernan is neither here nor there, as neither have really shown much at this level yet. I suspect that the 2nd ruck slot will go to Jacobs if the trade goes through. More to the point, I suspect the 1st slot will go to Jacobs and the 2nd to Maric, forcing McKernan back to the emergency list.
Assuming we land Jacobs & Walker, our team would become:
FB: Johncock Rutten Stevens
HB: Otten Davis Doughty
C: Mackay Thompson A. Walker
HF: Knights T. Walker Henderson
FF: Porplyzia Tippett Dangerfield
R: Jacobs Vince van Berlo (c)
Int: Maric Reilly Douglas Sloane
Emerg: McKernan, Symes, Jaensch
