To be fair hasnt some of speculation come from Carlton management?

What do St Kilda have to offer? They surely wont trade for a lower pick and give away a very good player in the process. If the Crows offered up the compo pick is it worth the angst to gain approx 4 places in the 20s?
 
Can we stop giving these cro magnon knuckleheads any oxygen and just ignore their posts? Reckon they'll piss off after a while and park their sad asses on the Power board.

Amen, we are all sick of Carlton supporters too. I'm not all that unhappy now that we are quiet most years, this is hell.

Nothing gets done on the first day. A few quick meetings to touch base.

The media reported that a deal for Jacobs should be done today, now they have to come up with excuses for why it hasn't happened.

Still thinking it will be Jacobs and Walker to Adelaide and Pick 14 and a player to Carlton and i do believe that the sticking point is that player......Craig has always rated his list higher then most and won't want to part with anyone that he wouldn't throw away and Swan and the boys are not going to give the lads up for a packet of chips.
 
Terry Wallet was on Crow radio in Adelaide with his 'inside' trade goss. Reckons Hawthorn are interested in a trade for Power defender Alipate Carlile. Port needs a ruckman, we need another big defender. Is a trade involving Jacobs and Bobby Carlisle worth considering ?
 
Terry laughed at the suggestion Carlisle was going anywhere. There is no way Carlisle would be traded especially for a ruckman.

Carlton wants the compensation pick the Crows received for the Gold Coast-bound Nathan Bock - at the end of the first round - but the Crows want only to swap first-round draft picks so they can give Carlton their No. 14 pick and get the Blues' No. 18.

The Blues knocked back a straight swap for Adelaide's second-round pick, in the 30s.

If pick 14 is off the table, can we please just do a swap for Andy Otten? We could do with a tall, defensive midfielder.

He's a Victorian lad. He's coming off an ACL, thus will take another 12 months to regain his 2009 form. While talent-wise he may shade Jacobs slightly, Sam is more likely to have an impact in 2010.

Steak knives if necessary - Otten is a quality player of known quantity unlike Adelaide's 2nd rounder + a fringe player.

They would rather offer up pick 14 than Otten...the kid is going to be a gun.
 
Pick 14 it is then. If they don't give us a player like Otten we end in a stalemate.

The Crows have about 15 players with less than 20 games experience. Rory Sloane:spade: plus their second rounder might be fair but is he the sort of player we'd want?

Going by what footballers get up to in the off season, some of them probably aren't bright enough to see through the crap their managers feed them.
