Where did the story that this guy goes to abuse opposition players regularly come from? All the reports I've read say he was there to drop off his girlfriend for her flight. No mention of him being a serial verbal abuser, anywhere I've read other than in this thread.

Apparently the whole thing was caught by the security cameras and the footage has been handed to the police. It will be interesting to see what the true story is.
Out of his "soon to be brother in law's" mouth....on the evening news

Just of interest, if he was a regular at the airport wouldn't that imply that he was maybe a few screws loose and therefore there was even more incentive for Broganb to turn the other cheek and walk away.

Youre assuming he sees him there every week.

After seeing Dale on the news last night it was quite obvious within the first 60 seconds of the interview that the lights were on but no one was home.

This Dale deserved what he gotg and he should learn from it, nothing more.

Brogan also deserves what's coming to him, pity they go easy on footballers.

The fact that you continue to defend a knobhead who does it week in week out tells me you condone his boorish behaviour.

FFS society is soft when someone can give it but cant take it. I am a strong believer if you cant back up what you dish out then dont dish it out.

Sure , once again Brogan lost it, but dont make Dale the innocent in all this

I defend nothing about Dale, the guy is a stark raving idiot and that's clear. He was provoking Brogan.

BUT I will not say he 'deserved' a punch in the face for heckling Brogan. If you're giving it out verbally, the equal response is verbal.

And people comparing this to a 199cm giant walking through a park need to get a grip on reality. Brogan is a public figure, which in itself is a very different situation, and this was not during his private life - this was during his work hours, when he was in transit with the team.

As someone said, if any other employee of a corporation hit a member of the public in the face during work hours, they'd be fired or suspended immediately. That Brogan isn't is a poor reflection on his club.

The fallout from this incident may be interesting. Apart from being charged with assault and also dealt with by PAFC, Brogan risks being deregistered as a player by the AFL for bringing the game into disrepute.
I have been heckled and slanged off by blokes smaller than myself. I did not respond by breaking their noses. Nor should anyone.

He got what he deserved.

Just the sight of him in todays paper makes me want to smash his face in.

Maybe someone should smash your face in if you think it's so acceptable.

Come here, call me a d@#ckhead & take your chances, or are you the type that starts things & goes running to the cops if you can't finish it?

Poor old Dale. He's gone from "seeing his girlfriend off" too regularly hanging around the airport and abusing opposition teams to stalking Brogan.....
I'm not condoning what Brogan did for a minute but if this guy is a serial abuser of non-Crows players than it puts a different light on his claims of total innocence.

What is Dale's girlfriend's name, and what flight was she on? Surely she wants her 15 minutes of fame too. It could be all she needs to launch her modeling career.

This comment is definately not your finest hour.

I must admit I also cringed when I saw Dale in his Crows gear this morning. The guys not overly bright and can't see when he's obviously being manipulated by the media. Even more reason for Brogan to turn the other cheek and walk off. Says alot about his mental stability IMO if he gets sucked in by a mental midget like this.

"Hey mate, just hold that flag there will you". "Yeah good one, nice shot, now smile".

Are you Dale (the fan) who lambasted Dean Brogan? Just maybe

You seem to have a lot of emotion invested into this situation for someone not involved

Rucci to photographer: "Make sure you get the Commodore hoon car (VP or a VN?) with half its hub caps missing parked on the front lawn in the background"

What about the guy walking the dog what was he after? Maybe the dog was gunning for Bouncers job.

Oh dear, little bit of a mental dwarf I see. Are you having to wipe your spittle off your screen now?

Not your finest hour Drakey.

I feel nothing but contempt for this guy. He should have done the right thing & hid back under the rock he came from. To see this nong in the paper is too much.

No, that guy is an absolute toolbag. I simply see this as a further example of dumb ******s who think violence is an appropriate response to heckling. I say again - this is why we have so much pub violence and brawls, because hotheads with half a brain cell can't think up an appropriate response to heckling and so think violence is justified. It isn't, and never is.

He didn't deserve a punch in the face, he deserved being ignored. Or even a mouthful back, and having a look at him on TV, it wouldn't be too hard to find things to give him a mouthful about.

I felt the same way yesterday when I learnt he was going to appear on the 6pm news services and to top it off it in wearing Adelaide Crows stuff.

I didn't know Broges drove a VN??

By showing him wearing a Crows guernsey and holding an AFC flag does little for his credibility. As i've said, the guys obviously not bright and can't see when he's being manipulated. Great work from The Advertiser, unless of course he really does carry a Crows flag with him wherever he goes:rolleyes: .

Brogan obviously has serious issues. Instead of yet again covering up a players indiscretion maybe Port Power needs to acknowledge that Brogan has a problem and seek help for him. Surely the public needs to be protected from criminal elements within the sporting community.

Being a thousand kilometers away from the action capital of the world at the minute, not seeing or reading the news, Im only going on whats been said and apparently verified by others saying he reularly goes to the airport.

Everyone has their ticked off point, and you would be no different.
It's fine to say you'd turn the other cheek but you would also want to retaliate if someone had a constant go at you.

I Agree with that but I also felt like smashing (idle threat) Dale in the face as he is a buffoon.

Sometime the end justifies the means and both parties will hopefully learn a very valuable lesson out of this experience.

I don’t know Dale (I wonder if anyone on hear actually does) but I doubt he will say something so stupid again. And allegedly this is not the first time Dean Brogan has committed a misdemeanour in this manor.
