Don't get your knickers ina knot. I simply asked the question and was looking for some "unbiased" comment.

Springy I think youll find one of the major reasons is that Bryce is a Wagga Wagga boy who only came down a few years back and hence didnt go through the 'usual' recruiting channels.

I'm tipping the Crows will have about as much success with Campbell in their team as Norwood did...

Why not Zac Hier... A much better player than anything Norwood could produce.

The best young draft in history and we pick three average SANFL players from very average SANFL clubs. Sack Fantasia!!!!!!!

The Crows are a joke!

Yeah cause going down the path of drafting WWT player after WWT player has really worked for the Crows in the past five years

I haven't seen alot of Campbell, but from what I've been hearing it all sounds good. A tough Inside mid, exactly what we need !

i was pretty excited when i saw the crows pick up bryce with their last pick. like drummond ive seen his game first hand on many occasions. he really stepped up another notch in 2006. with borlace getting tagged week in week out it gave bryce a chance to stand out.

a tough in and under midfielder who can kick a goal. similar to JP. i know he's not the tallest bloke going around.. but then that hasnt stopped porplyzia either.

i look forward to seeing him get a chance in the red and blue (and gold).

Sorry folks .......meh!!!.......Bryce doesn't excite me one bit.

I'm sure he was recruited for a role, and I wish him luck .....because he is really really going to need it

Pretty ill-informed opinion there WW and a pretty pathetic one at that. What exactly are you basing your opinion on because I’d really like to know. Chances are you’ve only see him a few times, if at all, and you think he’s a mature aged recruit that won’t amount to anything.

When he was a teenager he was basically assured of a place on an AFL list but he turned it down because at that point he felt he wasn’t ready to move away from family. A few years later he realised an AFL career is what he wanted so he moved to Adelaide to seek another opportunity to be drafted. He’s developed nicely during his 3 years at Norwood and thoroughly deserves his opportunity. He is a good ball winner, has very good disposals, and has terrific hands and marking ability for a player his size. He is an inside midfielder who excels at getting first hands on the ball and he is without doubt the most courageous player I’ve seen on a football field. His tackling will win over any supporter in doubt, except maybe you.

I don’t know why you are doubting him because there is very little reason to. Sure he’s not an 18 year old, and may not have the upside of a teenager, but he’s a very, very solid player who will be a valuable commodity for the Crows for many years.

Now Drummond we all know how passionate you are about ANY Norwood player but I'll answer some of your questions:

1. I have watched Bryce on tape for Norwood ....don't have to watch many games to see how he moves, his manerisms, skills, footy smarts ect.

2. No player is ever assured of a place on an AFL list

3. 3 Years at Norwood ....that's a long time for someone to notice a players skills particularly at Norwood which is Fantas home club and I imagine still has strong connections.

Yes he probably has "developed" but IMO he was recruited to fill a spot on the list obviously as a backup ......I just do not see anything special there that some of the other recruits possess .......

May be a great tackler and that but you said yourself he's a "solid" player and that I agree probably sums him up.

I'm not here to bag a kid who's just been drafted ....good luck to him ....just don't expect too much.

The kid was drafted at #78. If he plays a single game it's a bonus. Law of averages says he won't even manage that many.

1. A few games eh? Doesn’t really convince me that you know what he will bring to the table.

2. Well let’s see, he was going to be drafted by an AFL club, but he decided that wasn’t what he wanted so he rejected the opportunity. I don’t know how I can make that clearer.

3. Who cares how long he’s spent at Norwood? In his first year he averaged about 15 possessions per game, probably about 18 last year and roughly 22 this year. He has improved every single year during his time with the Legs.

Yes I said “solid”, but he’s a lot better than that. There are a lot of “solid” players in the SANFL who will never be drafted, but Campbell is better than that. I have no doubts in saying that I think Campbell is a better player Porplyzia.

Drummond you should really think before you post and preferably with the blood alcohol level of 0.

Campbell is good but he is not as good as Needles.
