News Crows hires: Rahilly (forwards coach), Godden (SANFL coach), Chris Sheedy (analyst)

I always understood Binuk’s work was related to list and draft strategy, whereas Sheedy sounds like he’ll be assisting the coaches.
If he's ' Head of Analytics and Football Innovation ', you'd imagine that would have a more fulsome scope than just list management though? I'm guessing though, could be unrelated.

Excellent news.
Rahilly a good appointment. Strong program, well credentialed and rated (although Geelong's forward line being so crap is a concern).
Godden at SANFL is great.
Sheedy is an excellent pick up. Love it.
Binuk staying is great.

Such a stronger coaching panel than we have had recently. Very happy.

How we going so far with his particular 'expertise'?
His analytics work has been a big part of our pick trading strategy.

Surely you agree with the idea of using statistical analysis??

Is it clear where Binuk will fit in relation to Chris Sheedy?

EDIT: Sheedy to come under Binuk I'm guessing.

Different areas. Binuk would probably be under Hamish whereas Sheedy is involved in the match prep.

More data analysts is a very good thing.

Can't be that crap. They scored the most points this year.

So - Sheedy ...

1. Do we rate his work at Port? I have no idea, but I guess the club rates him

2. Most importantly (joking) does this punch a strategy-shaped hole in Kern's panel?

Starting 2021 season from a much better position

Nicks must be breathing a huge sigh of relief. Finally got more support and better quality around him. And all the new blokes would be champing at the bit to get into it with our young squad and upcoming quality draft picks.

A bit of excitement and hope at last

The playing group should be equally excited about having a new coaching group

There will be more holes once Orazio arrives.

It's a much better lineup than the sorry excuse for a coaching group we had this season. Some outside experience from Geelong, Hawthorn, West Coast, etc can only be a good thing.

Hass remaining is the big let down. He really should have been turfed after 2018.

Picking up Sheedy in particular is a superb move I think. Port IMO overachieved for what their list is this year, and some of that credit has to go to the football strategy department

Full credit to Nicks/Kelly for headhunting him
