RESERVES - REDDEN, SUGARS

WEST - BONADDIO (FF)

PORT - STEVENS (FB)

Most of the sides named are only 'early' squads, without considering most AFL players, so you can't draw any conclusions from them at this stage.

I would be very suprised if Bode missed out on playing for the Crows, his pre seasons form has been pretty solid.

Yes same here it would be a joke if he missed out but Glenelg are playing Friday night so if he has been picked for Glenelg looks unlikley to play for the Crows.

NOT HAPPY

For what it's worth the newsletter to members has the squad in it with 18 of the 25 players placed. One of those is Bode on a HFF.

The 7 players listed in the newsletter as emergencies are:-

Massie, Doughty, Shirley, Maric, Vince, Hart and Mattner.

If that's the way they go, I'd expect the 3 to miss to be:-

Massie, Maric and one of either Vince or Doughty.

Doughty would normally get first dibs but he currently looks underdone - Vince to play as lawys predicted.

I would be surprised if Massie and Bode miss out. Both deserve to be in the side.

Hart might be in a bit of doubt though and since Bode, Knughts and VB are named in the 18, I expect them to play.

I sure hope Vince plays, because many of my songs for the Collingwood game revolve around the B man.

How could they not? Bernie Vince is the biggest cult figure name if I've ever heard one :thumbsu:

I'll be at the Norwood game tonight, and I'll keep an eye out for the Crows players and give you a review tonight. Massie is extremely unlucky because I thought he did everything right in the NAB Cup.

Its good to see the youngsters in Maric, Porp, Hinge and Douglas showing promising signs in the SANFL. Its also encouraging to see depth players in Massie, S Stevens and Skipworth playing well. We are now starting to develop real depth.

Skippy played very well and was definately among the Eagles best, even though i didnt focus on him very much as we gave the Eags a football lesson until yet another fadeout.

Good to see him moving freely, it must have been a very minor injury when he got stretchered off a fortnight ago.

Definately the Eagles best even though I thought he faded a bit in the 2nd and 3rd quarters after a brilliant start. He came back well in the last and almost dragged the Eagles over the line.

He copped a bit of a knock during the game as well and was in the hands of the trainers for a minute or two but he shrugged that off and looked to be moving very well.

If Bock doesn't come up next week is there any chance we would recall Stevens and play him at CHB.

Before yesterday, I would have said no way. However, if he can string a few dominate sanfl games together like that, then he must rewarded at some stage. Especially if we have injuries to KPP's.
