Adrian Bonaddio was brilliant today for the Bloods, kicked three goals, presented well, constantly gave the midfielders an option and his mobility isn’t too bad. He is huge for a 19 year old.

Chad Gibson is going to be a very good player. He played in defence and used his mobility and extreme pace to perfection. He always managed to spoil his opponent due to his huge leap and he often streams out of defence due to his great pace.

Meesen’s first half was quite brilliant; he would have had close to 10 possessions and won most of the hit-outs. Probably the most promising aspect about his game is that he always runs to space to plugs holes. He seems to know where to go to either find the footy or to thwart attacks forward. He definitely is a smart player and I am gaining more confidence in him every week.

Jason Porplyzia was pretty good, found a fair amount of the footy and generally used it well. Jericho's first half was terrible, so many clangers and careless mistakes. His lack of intensity was once again the problem. His last quarter was pretty good, but don’t let his stats fool you; he was pathetic when the game was on the line.

I thought Maric was pretty good today against South. He wasn't really dominant and his actual ruckwork wasn't brilliant. It was OK but not brilliant. However, what impressed me most was his work rate, 2nd, 3rd, 4th....nth efforts. He just kept going after it. Applied a couple of good tackles and fill the hole in defence well. He also managed to kick a goal.

Looks a bit unco and his skills below the knees need a bit of tidying up but overall he played a very good game and certainty didn't hurt his chances of getting a game this year. He is progressing nicely :thumbsu:

Stevens was forgetable.

I was at the Norwood vs west game today and ive gotta say that was the best game i have seen Meeson play by a mile. I fealt today that it was the first time i have seen him play with real confidence. He was everywhere and just kept running and running. His erobic capacity is amazing but he still needs to improve his skills. Terrfic performance by Meeson, definately one of Norwoods best today.

I was also very impressed with Bonnadio and Gibson, even though they played on each other for most of the game. Bonnadio took some good marks and kicked 3 goals while Gibson wasnt disgraced and pick up a few kicks as well.

I was surprised Jericho was on the bench for the first quarter. Not sure whats going on there but when he came on i thought he played a good game for the bloods.

Porplycia was pretty good as well but didnt take a major notice of him.

I saw Jesse Aish in the reserves and from what i saw he kicked three goals and played reasonable well. Played up forward for the majority of the match and in the last quarter played on the wing. Has good skills,is reasonably quick but his endurance needs to improve. Hes a lot more solid than i thought he would be, i expected a wirey framed player but hes a bit bigger than that.

That post was turning me on until I read the Jericho part !

Great to hear Adrian is getting into some form, he has been struggling.

I'm also pleased to hear good things about Gibson and Mees. Sounds like Trevor Hill is doing good things down there. Thank God we dont have Lewis coaching our blokes at The Parade anymore.

I would love to see Maric come into the Crows side this week.

I cant believe John Meeson was not put in Norwoods best players yesterday. I was at the game and to me he was definately in Norwoods top 3 or 4 players. He had plenty of possessions and his tap work yesterday was outstanding. Not only did he win the taps but on most ocassions they went straight to the norwood onballers. In fact most Norwood supporters werent happy when Meeson went off to let Nicholas have a spell in the ruck. They were continually saying get Nicholas off put Meeson back on. In fact Norwood rested Meeson for most of the last quarter so 17 possession in 3qtrs is a top effort from Meese.
