Surely we should win it. Not that we care and most likely we'll throw it again, but all things considered, we're going to have a team that's bloody hard to beat.

We lose Hendo, VB, Lowden, Ramsey ,Grigg,CEY to AFL (replacing lyons via some shuffling), Knight to AFL and gain Mackay (swap for knight), Galluci (mid), Polkadot, (mid), Signorello (mid), Davis (mid) and actually will probably get to play Hampton and Menzel and Greenwood and Keath will be up to speed and all our other youngsters have had another year in the system (Gore, Dear, Doedee, Wigg etc).

We have no one parked up with injury as far as I know.

So while we might lose some mid size and experience, a key weakness to get first hands on the ball and control midfield battles, the opposition will have to cope with more running power all over the field, arguably significantly more skill and appetite for the contest as well.

Kelly Keath Dodee
Hampton Otten Gallucci
McKay Gore Wigg
Beech Himmbelberg Greenwood
Poholke Dear Menzel
OBrien Thompson Douglas

Jarman Hunter Signorello Davis

Quite strong on paper.

Norwood have had a massive offseason and should be strong. Likewise Port who have basically recruited to win the SANFL Flag.

Winning the SANFL is a pipe dream, as said, all it takes is a couple of injuries and our run is completely derailed.

Development first and foremost, everything else will take care of itself with that league

Don't care about 2nd string premierships. As above, believe development is the thing.
Watch out if Pear win it. We'll be bombarded with 'Most Successful Club in the Universe all off-season.
If they win it will it be their first premiership? Or their 30 somethingth?

their rookie draft would indicate they want it bad. or at least make chadwick look like he has half a clue.

Not predicting big things from our SANFL side. need to remember we will be Playing 6 kids who are 19 yes the have very good skills but they are young.
They replace the likes of CEY, Grigg, Henderson, VB, Ramsey, and Lowden, Then there Spriggs, Schoenmakers, Carey,
Note I have penciled in CEY for Thommo for the start.
Add that together there a possibility that half the team will be turned over,
Yes, we may add experience in Thommo, MacKay, or even Douglas, but if they play SANFL then CEY, Wigg, Hampton, Milera, Menzel may not be.
Also, we are 1 Ruck injury from trialing a new Kid in the ruck, ie ROB play AFL then it Hunter with Dear or Himmelberg.

No, our SANFL is a Development first team. And I will not go into 2017 expecting anything more than a strong effort from all the players.

Carey has gone home. Not with us next year

When does the 2017 fixture get released? Do we know if we will have a bye ever 3rd week again?

Hopefully the club has already put in a request to the SANFL that we have byes at the same time as the magpies so we can play scratch matches against them during some of the byes.

So the SANFL just keeps changing the rules every season, until they can guarantee to the other SANFL clubs that either the Crows or Port cannot win the premiership ........first league to run a handicap competition .....just making a mockery of a once great competition

VFL has had a similar cap for years.

VFL has had a similar cap for years.
Exactly ......and that's a shambles of a competition now .....simply viewed as a reserves comp

SANFL had the opportunity to lift its standards to improve the competition overall, but chose to lower the standards of those clubs that may threaten to set a new standard
