To those who saw the game; Is Jars showing something?

Great to see the Gov back and Wigg fighting for an AFL game.
Said above, but looks to be tracking nicely.

Is getting better in each and every game imo and is looking to have an influence / is relishing the physical stuff more so.

He has a serious, serious problem kicking for goal though.

Like a serious problem....

Everytime he's streaming into the 50 he sprays a helicopter off the right, that won't even make the distance and trickles over the line either for a boundary throw in or a behind.

In his draft footage he did about 4 times. He's done it multiple times at SANFL level including today and he did it vs Brisbane. And it's always the same thing, a helicopter off the right.

He looks very promising and his kicking is very, very good all other times. Has a nice long kick but can also execute those short darts.

But yeah that kicking for goal on the run issue is starting to worry me. I know it's his first year, but he does the EXACT same thing so often it's a bit of a concern for me.
Sounds correctable if he has a good action in all other scenarios, and he is doing the exact same thing each time, it may just be a minor adjustment of his step and ball drop.

Also, Jar's tackling... Who does it most resemble? Is it the Betts wrap? The Rat finger tipper? Or the Cameron barrel?

He's a lot quicker than you expect and has good endurance in that often play him on the wing. Great defensive pressure and some of those snap goals he's kicked he had no right to kick. Also has a decent length on his kicks.

Think he could get a go at AFL or will he be destined to be a great SANFL player?

Cameron has gotten better at kicking over time, sure Gooch can too.

Jars is doing everything right...can he translate at his size to AFL is the big question but his skills and footy brain are sublime

Agreed . Watched him last 3 years and it's consistently the same

Loses all shape when kicking on run for goal . And they go everywhere

And people reckon Wigg is bad kick . Sheesh

Ps how was Wiggs kicking ? Noticed he had 5 tackles too
