He was excellent against Norwood...apart from Cameron I reckon he is the fiercest tackler in our squad, he really aims to hurt the opposition.

If his fitness is at the required level, the only thing he needs to do is consistently get involved (hence why he needs a solid month in SANFL before challenging the likes of Knight, Beech for a spot). The fitness question is a big one though because the structure of our forward line means his primary role would involve a lot of running and ground level stuff rather than being one of the key aerial targets.
Menzel has been a massive dissapointment, had high hopes for him, now I'm just waiting for the delisting

So you dont even know if he has a bad kicking technique?
Someone said he had poor technique while running in for goal but was a good field kick. I took his work for it and said if thats the case then it should be easy to fix and pointed out how

I actually think Menzel should play deeper in our side. We play our half forwards really high and I just don't think he has the aerobic capacity yet.

Id play him deeper as a forward pocket on the opposite side to Betts and push Cameron high.
Can't see Pyke and the coaching team changing our preferred structures to fit in a largely under performing player like Menzel. His path to being a permanent AFL player for the AFC is perform consistently well in the SANFL and once he gets his call up perform consistently to retain his spot.

Can't see it happening either

Will be interesting to watch this game o much to play for as there should be a few positions open up this week players would want to put their best foot forward

When we got beaten by Geelong on Friday night a few weeks ago we were hoping some SANFL guys put up their hand the next day. Give us some options.

They then put in the most insipid performance imaginable. Against Glenelg from memory. Even worse than the AFL team played.

Hopefully Seedsman, McGovern, Menzel, Knight and co don't look this gift horse in the mouth.
