Then if he's the playing well at this level and you want Doedee and Keith in that are playing so so at this level we are screwed let's tank now and get in some real talent instead of relying on these hacks

Those 2 have a future and both were very good also today. Thommo, as good as he has been, and he has..... is done.

The final score flattered the Crows today to be honest - Centrals dominated the first half of the first quarter than the second half of the second quarter and most of the third, they just couldn't put it on the scoreboard, reflected in the fact they had two less scoring shots than the Crows.

Can't say there were too many putting their hands up for selection for the main side after today to be honest.
Thoughts on the free kick count?
Not a bad effort to win with that handicap i would've thought.

Pfeiffer had an attitude problem, didn't he?

Help me understand why we aren't playing Wigg, either this year or last year?
At the start he had stress fractures then the attitude came.

Anyway, Wiggs disposal is his best asset but that's fallen away. It was there last year mind you. His issue, and it's a massive one, is that his intensity makes Rat look like Josh Kennedy.

I'd still pick him at some stage, and would have done already. He just doesn't have it.

We were as soft as butter we need someone back that has a bit of hardness

We weren't soft on Thursday, in fact we won the contested ball. Our issues were that we dropped nearly every mark that came our way, we went wide on every opportunity and missed every target by foot. Add to that we didn't have the courage to take the game on through the middle and we lacked leg speed.
The team that played is good enough to play 15 goals better than they did. Thompson is certainly not the answer to any of these issues. We don't need a change of personnel, we need a change in mindset.

I agree Thommo is not the answer Sloane is but he is the only replacement we have

Who says they are good players? Don't look at 150 games at the AFC as a measure of greatness.
It is undeniable that we have been been brilliant at turning low picks and discards into good players. Teams like Richmond take high picks and turn them into spuds while we take low picks and develop them into good AFL talent. Our issue is that we just don't have any elite talent as we don't ever have any high picks.
It's not the coaches or recruiters fault that we have not had a top 5 pick in 26 years.

After watching today I would not bring Thommo back next week, He will give away too many frees, he was Late on the tackles and was lucky not to give away more frees.
He was also slow at times got the ball but put some players under pressure.
Haveing said that he was one of the best today but on Thursday so were our other Key inside Mids So who would he replace.

unfortunately Sloanies problems are in his head. Howe didn't even play him close on Thursday, in fact he often went to the other side of the clearance. Rory just played terribly.
Seed amd Gov are definitely AFL level from today and should come in, not sure anyone else is though. Improvement has to come from the guys who served up that rubbish the other night, there's no miracle coming to change things from today.

We need outside run more so after Thursday, If Seedsman is ready then I would play him. Knight show some form, but I hate to Say MacKay played a very good game with the run and Carry. These players ran and Carried the ball with Seeds and MacKay laying off some good ball into the forward line.
Thommo will not help us with outside run. and anyway I would rather give Pohokle a game he has some speed. and Play Greenwood for more minutes.

I'm with you in gov and seeds

Don't get me wrong Thommo isn't a long term fix we just need someone who is capable of mixing in the middle and Thommo is the best of a bad bunch

Totally agree Sloane is in a form slump sick and tired of posters saying he is being tagged out if it, if he is it's pretty sad as it's a bunch of no names that are destroying him. I'm with you think it's all in his head and he needs to break it

What a load of absolute crap. Have you watched any of our failed finals series over the last 18 years.
I understand what you are saying however when you consider that we have not had an opportunity to draft in high end talent our development of late picks and rookie selections has been as good as any club

we just need to add high end talent to be a real threat

Only one way to do that when the draft is set up the way it is

Bottom out

Unless you plan on trading lever and gov

Have to agree Sloane needs to lift this week he has to find away Elite player do and thats why they are Elite players. If Not then maybe Thommo/Pohokle come's in for him. We only have a few more games for him to get it right. then we need to prepare for the pointy end of the season.

Thommo for me is that Finals experienced player that would be first picked if we had to replace Sloane, Brad or Matt Crouch and now Greenwood (depending on Hampton)

Ben Jarman seems to be exceeding expectations each and every week. Is he ahead of Poholke in terms of SANFL output? Does anyone see him as having a really high ceiling with a mature body? Or is he at best a fringe 22 player.

Leave Thommo in SANFL, put Sloane to half forward eith midgield rotation and move Kelly to midfield. Bring in McGovern and possible Doedee with Beech and Otten dropped. If Brown doesnt get up then Mackay or Wigg in
