Hamish has picked a couple of good ones but Doedee isn't one should have got him in the third round when he would have still been there
With what pick? There is equally no guarantees he would have lasted that long.

With regards to Gore, he looked a bust as soon as I saw his highlights.

Not because he was terrible in them, but because he was absolutely the wrong type of player for us and our system.

Was doomed from the start and Noble clearly hoping his Adelaide heritage would deflect from the bad trade.
It's a sliding doors moment for Gore, had he stayed at Geelong, he'd probably be in their first team now seeing they rated him pretty highly (high BnF finish despite playing half a season for example). Comes here and for whatever reason, he was on the outer from the get go and barely looked like the player he was promising to be at Geelong.

A shame, but i suppose not everyone can make it. I don't judge Noble that harshly for it, seeing we did get more than what we would have had for FA so Gore coming on was a bonus.

I don't have any doubt at all, seeing he's quick, skillful, moves well and seems to make good decisions for the most part.

I also disagree, he won't be a big bodied midfielder but he doesn't need to be to make the most of his skill set. Similar to an Atkins/Dahlhaus/ in that he just needs to be competent inside wise, and clean up on the outside. There are many great players who have made a career from doing that, though I equally am not willing to go all out and say he'll be a top tier midfielder yet.

With forwards, a lot of that can be cleaned up though. Only worry if it's set shots he's missing seeing that's as much of a mental thing as it is technical.

Might just be a technical issue then seeing it looked like Bonner was stronger than him during the game, especially through the core.

Still though, there'd be room for improvement from just being in a professional environment.
Don't think Gooch disposal is good enough to thrive as a mostly outside player

He's going to have to get his contested game to a really high standard and model his game on Dahlhaus IMO ( basically be a really good pressure player forward of centre that hassles the opposition and creates turnovers)

Fixed it for you..;)

I have no doubt whatsover Gallucci will make it as a good AFL player, however I don't think he'll be a great AFL player and IMO he doesn't have the size or strength to make it as an A grade mid. Not that that is a bad thing as his speed, run and carry and athleticism are elite. . Saw him play a bit up forward and misses to many easy shots at goal for my liking.
This means nothing but I think he'll be better than Dmac but not as good as dougy . Somewhere in between . He'll play alot of good games but frustrate at times . Have no doubt he will play 150-200 because he will train hard and prepare well and work on his weaknesses

I'd say his confidence is cooked from his 3 consecutive years of travelling to GC as emergency then not ever playing a game

Been mismanaged completely- shame
Thats a cop out. He had his chance in the JLT this preseason and shanked his way out of a spot. Nothing in the SANFL suggests his disposal would hold up at the higher level.

Definitely is responsible himself as well , no doubt !!! But he's clearly had too much mixed messaging and he looks like he's going downhill

He was one of th best kicks of the footy you have seen at U18 level , him and Caleb Daniel (2 midgets) basically won the
Div 1 carnival off their own boots. Every possession they had created a scoring chance

I watched his U18 recruiting vid and he kicked every second ball out on the full.

Given we didn't have a second or third round pick, you will just have to accept that Marty is talking out of his arse, again. It is becoming sad that he is being as obsessive as a spurned lover over the pick but lets not encourage him by quoting his post.

Also as a young player let's go through his JLT

Game 1 - first ever AFL exposure . Had 15 possessions at half time , burnt the ball by foot but got his hands on it v well. Ended up with 24 possessions . Pretty solid for first exposure in a loss

Game 2 - plays against Geelong . He struggles as team struggles , ends up a quiet game . Something like 12 disposals with 65% game time

Game 3 - dropped

I actually think that is mismanagement , as is taking someone to GC 3 yrs in a row as the travelling emergency but not playing him once in between . I doubt that's ever happened in history of our club

Both Jeff and I watch a lot of U18 footy mate, you're totally wrong...he always showed exceptional footskills, rated in the best couple of kicks in his draft year...my knock was his lack of size and contested footy, put him in space and he was deadly by foot.

Oh yeah because a 4 min U18 vid tells all

I saw the games , he won the best player award for SA
Ok i believe you guys but you must admit Wiggs disposal at SANFL level is very inconsistent. Touch and go if he will get another year at this stage.

IMO Wigg should actually be a full time half back, sort of in the Rory Laird mould. In that position, he'll know he has the space to make smart and careful decisions when breaking zones with his kicking. He can also rotate through the guts a bit like Laird, too, but not play there for most of the time as he seems to in the twos.

You might want to check how many players have played 200 games for us in our entire history

Injuries aren't helping the quality of our SANFL team but we haven't helped ourselves by choosing to go two short (?) on the rookie list.
Fair enough but both Lachie Murphy and Tyson Lever could quite reasonably be disappointed to not have been drafted in the rookie draft as both showed enough talent in the TAC Comp IMO. It's our injuries more than anything effecting our SANFL squad.

http://www.afc.com.au/news/2017-04-29/gallucci-a-goer

Although the Crows were eventually overrun by the more experienced Magpies, Gallucci continued to attack the contest with speed and flair. He finished with a team-high 20 kicks – five more than any other Crow on the ground – from his season-best 24 disposals and five clearances.
“The coaches want me to take the game on, move the ball with speed and really just back myself in,” Gallucci said post-match.
“It’s a bit of a confidence thing for me as well. I focused on my kicking over the pre-season and I feel like I’ve improved in that area in particular, but I want to continue working on every aspect of my game.”

..., Gooch sucks it in to his body then can't off load it.
He's fast and evasive but bloody small in my opinion. ...
I think Gooch looks small because of his wide shoulders. According to club stats, he's taller than Dougie, Knight and only 1cm shorter than Mooch and Brown - I reckon his shoulders must be really wide to make him look like a pocket rocket midget.
