I'm really hoping to hear or see what his KE% was because surely only that could be keeping him from getting a shot at AFL....going on his awful disposal in the JLT preseason series
Yeah it's strange isn't it, after being drafted as an elite kick, and left footer which Walshy loved. Hopefully just confidence??

In Round 5, Wigg had 20 kicks. 12 were effective, 6 were ineffective and 2 were to a contest. So he went at 60% by foot.
(Greenwood had 16 kicks, 7 effective at 44%. Beech had 8 kicks, 4 effective at 50%. Menzel 9 kicks, 8 effective at 89%)

Round 4: Wigg 40% KE, Greenwood 46%, Menzel 77%, Beech 64%
Round 3: Greenwood 78%, Beech 80%
Round 2: B. Crouch 43%, Wigg 74%, Beech 67%, Greenwood 30%
Round 1: B. Crouch 62%, Beech 62%, Greenwood 57%, Wigg 60%

So the rankings are:

Menzel 83%
Beech 65%
Wigg 59%
B. Crouch 53%
Greenwood 51%

Oh and I'll add this too:

Average Contested Possession Ratio:

Wigg 30%
Menzel 34%
Beech 34%
B. Crouch 55%
Greenwood 64%

So the contested kicking efficiency score (multiplying both numbers together as the preference is for more contested work with a higher efficiency) is:

Greenwood 3264
B. Crouch 2915
Menzel 2822
Beech 2210
Wigg 1770

Every player who is progressively less contested has better efficiency, except Wigg. From these numbers I'd propose that neither Beech nor Wigg's kicking is AFL standard considering the situation in which they get most of their possessions

Surely Wigg is ahead of Thommo, at least? 38 disposals, wowee

Looks like Jenkins, ROB, Beech, Doedee all did well, too
Tyson Lever sounds like he had a reasonable game considering he's coming off a bad shoulder/collarbone niggle that has restricted his preparation.

Excellent. No excuses for the AFL team dishing up another soft, pathetic performance now.

Would be nice for Doedee to debut in front of his family in the Geelong game.
Maybe drop laird or smith or maybe brown do you think not that Geelong won't be challenging for top 4

So, Wigg in for Atkins?

Is it time?
Wigg certainly looked good today along with Jono Beech. These two were a class above and both should get a crack in the AFL soon. Thommo didn't impress me that much felt he was rushed alot of the time and I expected more from him. JJ was ok but no recall on that performance. Team was horrible in the first half and as the coach said they turned it round in the 3rd quarter because they grew some balls and had a crack.

I'm surprised Beech was not selected ahead of Galluci especially given ghetto played him forward. Beech at this stage in career is a significantly better footballer
