Thanks for the report, Crow*Girl. Sounds like Bernie had a pretty decent game! Would you have had him in WWT's best despite his limited gametime?

I'd say he could be in the best. Suppose we'll find out tomorrow :)

Vince seems to have decent stats every game, and yet have little or not impact.

I thought he made an impact today. He was more influential today than last week, considering the fact that he kicked two goals and set one up. He's not really the type of player who runs around creating play.

I was at the game yesterday.

Vince is an interesting one. At times he looks like a dud and others he looks a million dollars.

His game yesterday was a lot better that his game the previous week so he may just be working his way into some form.

He does his best work forward of the ball and bringing it into the forward 50 and he rarely wastes it. In his defence he played the forward/midfielder role which requires him to play forward of the ball. I am not sure about his abillity to win the contested ball which is what is holding him bac at the moment.

The type of player that looks a million dollars when you are winning but struggles when you are losing.

He has a lot of upside and his footskills appear to be better than a lot of the current crows players

On a side note, the adelaide football club made the right call in delisting Ben Hart, he is a shadow of what he used to be. He will still be handy for North though.

Porps didn't play for West, kept as an emergency for Adelaide.

Kurt Tippett did play. he had no effect as a tall forward, but when he went into the ruck.............:D

Absolutely dominated and looked very exciting, I thought. Hard at it with second efforts too.

Bit hard though when you don't know any of the players as a forward ....do they kick long, short...what is their kicking distance ...are they right or left footed.

As a forward he would undoubtedly struggle unless they were putting it on his head ?

I saw Woodville West Torrens and North Adelaide today at Woodville Oval. For the Crows, Bernie Vince was the only player playing. He looked sharper than last weekend and had more infuenece on the game. He barely played any of the first quarter, came on for the last few minutes. In the second quarter he had 7 possesions and was mainly playing in the centre against Ben Hart. He managed a goal, a nice snap from about 40 out. His third quarter wasn't too bad. He had 6 posessions and added another goal, this time from a set shot, to his tally. His last quarter was again, pretty good. He found the ball 7 times again. I mainly noticed he generally is good at decision making. He doesn't just dih of the ball to whoever, he takes a moment and thinks about it. His skills are also very sound.

His stats: 8 kicks, 12 handballs, 7 marks, 4 tackes, 1 hit out, 2 goals

Final Score:
Woodville West Torrens: 6.4, 10.5, 15.8, 17.10 112
North Adelaide: 3.1, 7.4, 9.5, 13.7 85

Ben Hart and Bernie Vince

Crow girl I think you will find Bernie was resting on Old man hart when he played up forward . ole man hart was playing in the Eagles back line.
Bernie looked great he kicked a few goals and dished out some handballs up forward.

Saying he had no effect as a tall forward wasn't meant as a criticism. the ball hardly got down there and when it did the delivery was awful. My point was more that he was extremely impressive when he went into the ruck.
