I'll stick my neck out for de-listings:

Gibson - He's young, but he's still stuck in the reserves at Norwood. Especially disappointing when you consider the names that came after him in the 2004 draft eg Matt Rosa, Ivan Maric, James Ezard, Deluca.

No, I am sorry but he will be given more opportunity to find his feet. He will be given 2 more seasons minimum. He has talent but just unlucky at the moment to get a few injuries.

Obst - Also in the reserves at Centrals.

The CBA with the AFL PA states that all drafted player are given a minimum 2 year contract and cannot be delisted after there first year. So that a no

Griffen - Same.

Agree

Jericho - Given the pre-season, I'd imagine he'd go, but I think he kicked 5 for Wests on the weekend. Nonetheless, I don't think Adelaide needs a player like him with Hentschel, Perrie, Welsh, Porplyzia & Riccuitto already in the line up. We need less average key forwards.

Maybe, but I like what I see with Jericho and would like him kept on the list. If he is delisted it would be a smart move by a lower Victorian club to draft him with a late pick as he could be useful as a leading forward.

Trades:

Bock - Doesn't fit into our team. Too many injuries.

Can you explain how he doesn’t fit into the team structure? Last year he was a shinning light at CHB and gave the defensive unit that much needed run out of defence (same as Peter Caven did in the last 1990’s) so I am not sure what you’re getting at.

Injuries - unless his back is stuffed he should be right to go in 4 weeks and that been his only major injury since he been at the Crows

Meesen - Rumour says he wants to go home. Good flexible forward or ruckman (although I think his tap work is better). Could probably pick up a good draft pick for him.

Rumour and innuendo will always surround a interstate recruit until he has signed a new contract. I am not sure what going on but I hope he is kept as he is going to be a very valuable commodity in the future. (In 5 year he will be work a lot more if he wants to go home then)

Not a bad effort and some good work, congratulations at having a go just a few inflexibility in the rule that didn’t allow a few to happen.

I'm being harsh with my delistings just because this draft will be a goldmine (as everyone seems to be saying). We don't need this players on the cusp. Our squad is deep enough to withstand heavy injuries for the next two years, so why not get the best possible players out of this draft?

I've seen Gibson play twice and his role in the team seemed neglible. Maybe I caught him on his bad days.

Sorry you're right regarding the contract for Obst. I'm getting my numbers confused.

Jericho would be a good pick up, I agree, but I don't think he'll stay. He's good, but not a star and we don't need another average forward. Maybe we could trade him. Maybe.

I think players like Van Berlo, Mattner & Knights fulfil Bock's role better than he does. I guess that's just a judgement call. I've also been led to believe thjat Bock had injuries troubles as a junior as well. I could be wrong.

I'd love Meeson to stay, we probably need him with Biglands hitting 30 next year and who knows what will happen to Hudson next year.

I suppose I was talking more his run off the half back. Mattner is only 6cm off and he's a way tougher player than Bock.

You want to delist Gibson? He was one of the youngest taken in his draft year; he only turned 19 this year. He was playing seniors for Norwood at the beginning of the year and was a key cog to our defence, but he got injured and yesterday was his first game back. Give him time, he could easily play for the Crows in the future.

It's already been highlighted that Bock was one of the most important players to our side last year, he steadied the structure. However because he’s had shocking luck with injuries this year you want him traded? Ridiculous.

Meesen is the just about the best prospect on our list, he’s going to be one heck of a player. No way will he be traded unless he forces us to.

I don't want to trade meesen. i'm just guessing it might happen. i know some guys who play for the legs. they think it'll happen. but hey, thats just innuendo.

I just don't think a defender like Bock is necessary in our team, whilst we have other weaknesses and there is a prime draft coming up.

And with Gibson, again I was being generous in my delistings for the sake of making space. We have a lot of players retiring very soon and we need a new generation top notch players from this quality draft.

Who would you pick instead?

Anyone have a clue about Torney's situation? Retirement? One more year?

Bock? Delist him? He has been great at CHB he killed Riewoldt last year.. well not killed but beaten him. He's also done very good jobs on other players as well. Gibson- This kid has talent. He is also super quick for a person his size (195cm). He was in the top ten in the 20m sprint at the draft camp with a time of 2.95 seconds. That is bloody impressive. He has great potential and delisting him would be dumb.

I agree with you, you are wrong.

Those players play a completely different role to Bock.

He has one significant injury and you would trade him when his currency is at its lowest?

Geez if this is being generous Id hate to see you on a bad day:eek:

Hey, I'm only making suggestions!

And by "generous" I mean pointing out players that MIGHT be considered.

I reckon we will have a clean out of all 4 rookies this year. None of them have shown much in the SANFL.

All appeared in the best players SANFL Res. last week. Next half of season will tell if their keepers you would think. :)
