Gibson - He's young, but he's still stuck in the reserves at Norwood. Especially disappointing when you consider the names that came after him in the 2004 draft eg Matt Rosa, Ivan Maric, James Ezard, Deluca.
No, I am sorry but he will be given more opportunity to find his feet. He will be given 2 more seasons minimum. He has talent but just unlucky at the moment to get a few injuries.
Obst - Also in the reserves at Centrals.
The CBA with the AFL PA states that all drafted player are given a minimum 2 year contract and cannot be delisted after there first year. So that a no
Griffen - Same.
Agree
Jericho - Given the pre-season, I'd imagine he'd go, but I think he kicked 5 for Wests on the weekend. Nonetheless, I don't think Adelaide needs a player like him with Hentschel, Perrie, Welsh, Porplyzia & Riccuitto already in the line up. We need less average key forwards.
Maybe, but I like what I see with Jericho and would like him kept on the list. If he is delisted it would be a smart move by a lower Victorian club to draft him with a late pick as he could be useful as a leading forward.
Trades:
Bock - Doesn't fit into our team. Too many injuries.
Can you explain how he doesn’t fit into the team structure? Last year he was a shinning light at CHB and gave the defensive unit that much needed run out of defence (same as Peter Caven did in the last 1990’s) so I am not sure what you’re getting at.
Injuries - unless his back is stuffed he should be right to go in 4 weeks and that been his only major injury since he been at the Crows
Meesen - Rumour says he wants to go home. Good flexible forward or ruckman (although I think his tap work is better). Could probably pick up a good draft pick for him.
Rumour and innuendo will always surround a interstate recruit until he has signed a new contract. I am not sure what going on but I hope he is kept as he is going to be a very valuable commodity in the future. (In 5 year he will be work a lot more if he wants to go home then)
Not a bad effort and some good work, congratulations at having a go just a few inflexibility in the rule that didn’t allow a few to happen.
