The Seven Stars has gone through a big revamp and it is a great pub currently, they do fantastic tapas and their bar meals are also very very good, but the most impressive thing is that their bar staff don't think they are cooler than Angelina Jolie and are quite friendly!!! Very popular spot currently and thoroughly deserves to be!!.

Cheers mate, I will check it out the next time I'm in Adelaide :thumbsu:

It is mate.

Read the threads on the main board and the rumour board; most people from other sides recognise that he's got buckets of talent - but they also see him as lazy and soft.

Because that is the perception Neil Craig has built for him.

When I go to training, I don't see a player who is lazy, when I watch him play for the Norwood Football Club, I don't see a player who is lazy - when he plays for the Adelaide Football Club I don't see a player who is lazy, I see a player who is confused.

My suggestion to Walker is go and have a chat to Tony Hall and watch his tapes.

Best Forward player to work hard when his team did not have the ball i have ever seen.

Crap, the worse player in any sport is the one who has to works the hardest to compensate his his/her lack of skills. The best player makes things happen offensively and defensively.

Taylor Walker should not be exempt from doing his defensive duties but he should not be crucified for not being as good as he is. I’d rather have a very talented offensive player in my team with limited defensive abilities over a scrub with very limited offensive abilities that plays really tough defensive.

Because that is the perception Neil Craig has built for him.

Nonsense. Its not a perception and if anything Craig has tried to not emphasise his weaknesses.

When walker was first dropped the crows were reluctant to go into detail as to why. "To work on a couple of aspects of his game" I think it was, and "defensive pressure"- when pressed further.

That was being kind, he could have said alot more.

And maybe he should have and then a perception wouldn’t have been built around why he was dropped. Instead of giving some **** and bull story, he should have just said one thing and then not picked him until that was fixed. Drop him and then don’t pick him until they are 100% certain that is fixed. But due to him having double and triple standards for other players in the squad, he’s sent different messages. Hence why a perception has been built around his dropping.

I disagree. Walker would know exactly where they want him to improve. Why embarrass him by coming out in the media and saying- doesnt contest enough, doesnt contest hard enough, doesnt take enough marks for a tall... that would be doing the very thing your complaining about.

Also how do they not pick him until they know his issues are fixed? It happens all the time- he plays ok/well at afl level, then drops right off, gets dropped- carves it for norwood- repeat cycle.

Just watched that Connors video again in detail and he's clearly making it up as he goes, which to be fair is his job.

He says at one point that GWS won't be like the Gold Coast and pay the 1.8m as they did for G. Ablett and then in the next question nearly falls off his chair in his eagerness to proclaim that that's exactly what they would do for one of his players. His next answer to Mark Stevens when he asks him is it 3-400k a year and he says 'more' is also a clear lie. Good on him for representing his clients but I don't believe a word he says and his statement that Taylor has already signed was not convincing at all.

Spoke to a friend who knows Walker pretty well.

Said that he didn't believe Walker was going anywhere at the start of the year, still doesn't think he is - but believes that the state of the Crows at the moment might be a factor more than the coin.

As in, if we're going to be shit for a few years, why not go play in a shit team for twice the money?

It's the same guy who told me Bock was going last year, so he's got form - but I don't think he actually knows for sure in this case; so I don't think Walker himself has made a decision as yet.

Interestingly enough, this guy also think Walker hasn't been working hard enough, and is disappointed that he hasn't shown everybody what he's capable of on a consistent basis.

Thank god you said that and not me.

As i said in another thread Sheedy says they wont be signing any one till much later in the year.

To be fair - I mentioned it to him in that I was frustrated that Walker wasn't starring like I thought he was capable of (in a polite way), and he agreed that he should be showing a lot more than he is.

Probably shouldn't have mentioned it, but I thought it was interesting.

Main point is, he doesn't seem to be going, and if he does, it might be our potential 2-4 years of shitness that are a factor, more than cash or Craig.
