No i am keeping a thread on Walker about Walker.He has had trouble doing what Craigy wants so i was just saying if he stays lets hope he can deliver what the coach wants him to do.Its no secert he has had trouble delivering what the coach wants.

Then if he is as good as what every one says he is we will see the best of him.

Really? He has kicked 21 goals, which is higher than any other Crow (besides Tippett) has kicked.

This year alone:
He averages 4 tackles (probably more than what we have in most games )
Averages about 16 disposals a game (compared to 9 or so from Walker)

I really think he is quite an underrated player!!!

Rowey on 5AA has an update. His mail which comes from a close friend of the Walkers from Broken Hill, claims no one from the GWS has spoken to Walker, his management or any family member. Walker is keen to stay here. But Essendon are reportedly very interested and have been in contact.

I heard from a source very close to Taylor that he now appreciates that Neil has his best interests at heart and he can't survive in the AFL as a 98 Kg crumbing forward. He will only stay if Neil is reappointed.

In that case I wish him all the best at his new club. You can't have players dictating to clubs even if it's top players,unless it is every player.

He may have more goals than everyone in our team bar Tippett, but that would have a fair bit more to do with the fact that we're 16th for average points scored than the individual personnel.

Tackles? Well we're 17th for them, again that's more a team impediment thing than the individuals.

He's also the worst diver in the AFL, worse than Westhoff. Can't stand it.

Walker is not the trade for this guy...Knights maybe (i.e. get the South Aussie kid back, give Knights the change he needs), but not Walker. For Tex I'd want someone more in the vein of a Melksham or Colyer as Carl said - similar age, similar level of potential, but exactly what we need rather than another small leading forward like Monfries.

First preference is to keep Tex, but if we have to trade with Essendon then this is the path we should go down. It's not as though the pre-season draft is any sort of threat because he'd end up at Gold Coast, Port or Brisbane (or us!).

Why would we want Day? It would only confuse the players, they wouldn't know which forward to bomb it to, Tip or Day?
