Nothing to worry about,if he wants to stay and do whats asked of him and work his but of then he is a required player.....If he dont i wish him luck at his new club.

The only thing to worry about is having a coach that actually knows how to get the best out of him

Harper on 5AA stating they havent even started talking as with Walker yet as they want to leave it until the end of the year. WTF, that is crap. He has to be going.

It could also mean that they know he is staying and will work out the details when the season is over. Perhaps they have more pressing signings?

Yeh Walker putting off contract talks should give them confidence that he is staying.

On the positive, they are talking with Vince.

If it's Walker putting off talks then fair enough, we have something to worry about. I interpreted your post as saying the club is holding off talks, not Walker.

Walker needs to play out the season for his next contract; regardless of whether it's here or there, he needs to come into the side and show he's going to make the most of the immense talent he has.

When the guy with the highest average goal output per game on our list can't walk into the second most offensively weak side in the competition, you don't look at what the player is doing to get that next contract ;)

Interesting tweet from the man himself this evening:

texwalker13 Tex Walker
Bring on sth Adelaide down at norlunga on Sunday!! Look forward to just playing footy and enjoying it again!!

Could be reading too much into it but enjoying it again? Hmm.....

He has played one game in how many weeks. So i would say his ENJOYING just playing again.

The real issue is talks on hold till years end.

"At the moment Patrick Dangerfield is holding down one of our key-forward positions, so we don't want to lose Taylor either. I want Taylor back in form, so he can continue his AFL career and improve at the rate that I think he can.

"We'd be worse off without Taylor, and it would be the same for Bernie Vince.

now someone disect that to inform me how that mean Craig hates Walker?

how so? not picking him after injury or dropping him after poor form?

Treating him the same as other players and please don’t tell me every player on the list is treaded the same. Some have so many chances before they are either changed positions to find more form or dropped and then he has one.

True that, ralph was on 5aa this evening saying the we have a selection policy that if you don't get your required kpi's in a game for 3 games in a row you get dropped. He said VB missed in 8 games. Phil Harper came on a said it wasn't 8 it was 3. Whether it's true or not I suggest many other players have missed their kpi's multiple times like walker mave have.

The latter.

Dropping him after poor form.

Five times in a brief career.

Even though every key forward who has ever played the game would have displayed inconsistent form when they started out.

Especially because in two of those years (2010 and 2011) we have been rubbish and all our forwards have struggled in front of a poor midfield.

And, as others have said, utterly garbage form from other players is tolerated at length.

I have to admit, I would have preferred us take the buddy franklin approach - but the main difference was Buddy was kicking goals, despite doing not much else

Tex was the leading goal kicker at the time he was dropped but. Can not do much more than that.

It's been done before but you compare Walker's output to Cloke, Franklin, Brown, Roughead, Riewoldt etc and basically every decent forward in the competition at the same age and he stacks up fine.

He might not be meeting our internal KPIs or expectations but I'd argue that the KPIs we're setting are wrong.
