Re: taylor walker

His first goal was the result of a tackle he laid. His 1%ers were great tonight. Pack contests bringing it to ground for himself and others.

I do like his unselfishness, but I want him to back himself as well. Really needs to puff the chest out and peacock inside the 50. When he marks inside the 50, quick look up, no GLARING options, then set shot (where he's pin point.....so long as he's not trying inverted torps)

I thought he got a bit overexcited in the first half trying to be unselfish and pass it off. However in the second half I thought he backed himself in a lot more and when he had the oppurnities in the third and fourth, he went back and slotted them. Great to see the 1%ers as well. I suspect we will see the brain fades from time to time - somewhat of a flawed genius perhaps ;)- but if we play him at full forward and let him settle there, he will be very good for us. Man I hope he doesn't go to GWS.

Re: taylor walker

Walker isn't going anywhere - but i'm worried about Davis, apparently some of the players are already aware he is going, weather this is a joke or not I have no idea.

agree, he had red, blue and yellow blood pumping through his veins yesterday :thumbsu:

Re: taylor walker

Danger has been joking about it (Davis leaving) on the Down the Guts podcasts. I don't know whether that's a good sign or not.

I would have thought a good sign - why would he joke about it otherwise?

Would be really disappointed if Davis goes. Apart from an unfortunate dropping the week after getting a rising star nom, he's been treated pretty well and got a fair amount of oppurtunities. His family are in Adelaide. The only positive is we have a number of options who can fill those kpd roles, although none have showed the same level of poise as Davis.

Hope you're right. Source??

Last night on Triple M, Biglands and Tredrea were 100% adamant he was gone.

How does this thing work? Is it possible we could lost Davis AND Walker? I thought they could only take one....

Re: taylor walker

I wonder sometimes if the gws bound players have free agency in mind. So they go, do their 3 years, make their million(s) and return. A bit like how Hunt is expected to eventually go back to rugby.

from what I have heard (albeit 2nd hand info)

Walker is almost re-signed, never got an offer from the GWS and wasn’t interested anyway.

Davis on the other hand (as reported in Vic Media yesterday) has been approached and has signed on – apparently some players who are close to him know that already, so I can only assume that the club does too.

but I'm not putting a massive amount of weight on that info, because I don't know the orgin of the source information.

Yep, there's a lot of similarities between himself and Fev. We'lll get those brainfades, but put up because he's so talented. Just so long as he works hard on the field and we get the 'good Fev' side of Taylor.

2nd one would have to be a trade that we agree to, unless they walk and they take him in the PSD.

Wouldnt it be ironic if that person was Walker?

So in effect, we'll only lose one for "nothing," and the other one we'll get trade market value for...

Cap - what the hell is Biglands on about then? He's been saying this since February, and last night on the radio he all but gave a personal guarantee.

Jakovich asked Walker a few questions after the game, one being his future intentions but he chose to ignore that one.

Seeing we only have speculation to go on, my impression from that response is he has probably already signed with GWS so found it prudent to say nothing.

or he hasn't signed (yet) and found it prudent to say nothing

Re: taylor walker

Biglands was looking for headlines and took a punt on confirming what other media sources were speculating about.

I can't listen to him anymore. In fact, that Triple M post game wrap up sounds like they are all there for their own amusement.

Biglands gave Hitchcock 1 vote in the 3-2-1. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Took the words out of my mouth.

At least the rest of the Triple M guys were as bemused as I was with his Hitchcock vote.
