Ralph on 5aa just had his regular rumors segment.

1. Paddy not going anywhere. In fact his girlfriend has just moved over here to live with him.

This one means next to nothing to me. She's moved because Patrick still has another season left in Adelaide.

Doesnt mean they won't move back when his contract is up.

What's he doing with a girlfriend anyway?

Re: taylor walker

I just loved seeing the relentless trash salter was talking to walker and it not affecting him in the slightest, shows that he doesn't mind that stuff and possibly thrives on it. That's the type of player I want

Re: taylor walker

2nd one would have to be a trade that we agree to, unless they walk and they take him in the PSD.

Wouldnt it be ironic if that person was Walker?
They can't do that. They're not allowed to take any one, via ND, PSD or RD, who spent 2011 on another team list, if they've already taken a player from that team. That is, unless the player's original team agrees to it.

Re: taylor walker

I noticed a bit of strange body language between Maric and Walker. They're the two most passionate players we've got, but when Walker set up Ivan for his goal, Maric just gave him a pretty serious looking nod, and then celebrated with other players. There was a similar instance earlier in the game too. Maric has a reputation for being a fiercely loyal club man, so it had me wondering a bit.
But it can be very easy to see things that aren't there in situations like this, which is more than likely what I'm doing, as I really do hope Tex stays with us.

Re: taylor walker

I've been told similar things to what has been stated by cap. Walker has to this day not received an offer from GWS and is close to signing with the afc. Davis on the other hand looks gone.

Re: taylor walker

Question is - who would you rather lose? Walker or Davis?

Davis has shown more to date, and is far more consistant overall, but he's now had two shoulder reconstructions, which isn't a good sign, and he's more likely to get us something approaching decent compensation (I think.)

Re: taylor walker

^^^

I think if you have a choice between a key forward and a key defender, you always take the key forward.

Davis will be a massive loss though.

Re: taylor walker

There's no way in hell that Davis is leaving. Anyone listen to the podcasts? He can't be any happier at our club, speaks like a leader and also very involved within our team.

No way he'll leave.
If he does, then we lose out bigtime, Hurley and Davis will be the best CHBs in the comp for the next decade.

To date Davis has shown more and is certainly far more consistent in his application. Walker, on the other hand, has the greater potential (if anyone can manage to unlock it).

We seem to have adequate replacements for Davis, in Thompson, Talia and (possibly) Young. McKernan has shown naff all so far, leaving us with just Tippett if Walker were to depart.

I'd prefer not to lose either, but if we have to lose one of them then I choose Davis on the basis that he's more easily replaced.

I dont think he had much say in the celebration - he looked like he was just going to do his nod to walker, walk back all cool calm and collected like it was all in a days work - nothing special, then scotty thompson I think it was jumped on him and nearly r*ped him and then everyone else joined in

This will be the source of about 500 fan fiction novels in the next couple of weeks.

Re: taylor walker

Very good game from Walker, did his usual act of two or three good things followed by one horrible thing, but he took on the mantle of being our key forward and was involved in almost all of our goals.

I'm just pleased that after 15 weeks of football I finally have enough material to make a new Walker video

Re: taylor walker

Interesting that despite only playing 8 games (1 of which he got injured before half time) he is still third on our goal kickers list this year with 18 goals behind Tippett (24 goals from 15 games) and Dangerfield (22 goals from 17 games)

Yes, very interesting. And that's all I'll say.
