Good move if Walker has signed:thumbsu: why would you want to play for the crows being treated like crap, GWS will play in a GF before the crows will

Don't be like that, It's common knowledge that Taylor Walker is nothing but a lazy hack who get's out worked by 11 year primary school kids. We all know Neil Craig treats him like a saint and never victimizes him.

No he hasn't and highly doubtful.

GC will get there before Adelaide. GWS have a much weaker draft to work from and haven't done nearly as well with their zone recruitment.

Very unprofessional of paul connors to say that players rival sporting agents clients are definitely go to the Giants. Then he says one of his clients could earn an extra four hundred thousand if they left their current club to join the Giants.
This is the same guy that bagged South Australia last year.

Every club will be second guessing themselves as to whether or not to chuck on another $50-100K to stop players from leaving. Saying what he did throws more uncertainty into that process. Unprofessional...maybe. Very smart though.

As I theorised earlier in this thread, I suspect that maybe one of his players has signed with GWS, and he's making statements like this to deflect attention onto other more obvious targets.

I was at the Carlton match and Taylor's performance was a mixture of some exciting moments mixed with some very average footy when the ball wasn't in his hands.

Do you measure full forwards by goals alone. (Perhaps we should draft Grenville Dietrich)

How would you compare Taylor's season to Jack Darlings? Jack is younger, shorter and much lighter. He has kicked 11 goals in 10 games and if you think Taylor's had a better season with 14 goals in 7 games then there's no point arguing with you.

At 21 years of age I expect a bit more Jonathan Brown and a bit less Eddy Betts.
Ha and your coming out with proposing irrational.
Games played in the opponents half, where the clearance numbers aren't even close and these issues aren't even looked at but you drop your forward because he wasn't at half back for long enough to put on pressure and he laid a bump in junk time instead of tackling a bloke 40 metres out from the opposition goal.
There are some very fundamental problems with the context of this situation.

Your delusional mate, isolation works in a vacuum, not in a team performance.
Continue to throw out all the absurd comparisons useless statistics, they say nothing and aren't even playing in your favor in any meaningful way.

How would we first compare our mid field to west coasts, our delivery also, where the I50s are directed, does anyone lower their eyes, who has more penetration to the meaningful areas, who is making the most of the forward entrees in their area, possessions per score, scores from stoppage, stoppage locations, pressure assistance, numbers at the fall.
Go right ahead I expect videos supporting not stats.
What you don't have time for that? you have time to present useless stats so why not gather up all that time you would have in the future gather together useless stats or hell ask someone else to and make a nice presentation or alternatively live in the now.

Forwards are being rotated out while the mid-field performs horribly and get obliterated and their performance at transition, stoppages and centre breaks all round impacts negatively on all other areas massively.

If you are suggesting Gunston offers more then Taylor Walker, that Moran surely has more upside then McKernan. This is the only comparison that matters at all and if this is what your suggesting I really don't care for your opinion on anything really.
None of these other names are in the side, none of these other players have anything to do with the AFC and how it runs or doesn't.

There is no point to discussion on this matter with you or Vader people should know this by now, they're not going to change their mind they feverishly misdirect it's a pointless exercise.

Useful idiots is a term used for those that buy spin and argue it to the death, they get out their tanks and fight to the death over various paintings they like and dislike, whether those painting are religions, sports teams or any other opinion.
They certainly do well to make distraction.

"Say hello" please at least be entertaining in your condescending bullshit.
Your arguments are about as effective as our players against Moloney and Swallow.

Sure Walker could play better, everyone could play better a row of 17ths is the stat that matters not your scapegoat.
As long as omissions are stupid I'll call them stupid.
Have a good one.

That might be the hidden genius of Craig and the club's approach.

Make our players regress, stall their development, play them out of position and drop the talented ones to the SANFL.

That way GC and GWS won't want any of them. Not only that, their poor form will mean that their price will go down and we will be able to afford all of them under the salary cap.

We'll be able to keep our most talented list of all time together whereas all these Top 4 high flying clubs will run into cap trouble.

So you agree that

1) Taylor Walker has played more games before 21 years of age than any key position forward except Jack Riewoldt in the last 5 years.

2) All young key position forwards spend time in the twos when they are developing

3) Taylor has been a tad disappointing this year

The comparison with Jack Darling is not about stats. It's about one talented young kid that hits the contest hard, tackles hard and applies forward pressure and another talented young lad that doesn't.

Well i hope for his sake when he gets to Sydney he knuckles down and works hard. Although he has talent he wont get the most out of his career if he wont do the hard work.

This is 100% **** and bull.

No one from the club has ever said he doesn't work hard enough, he doesn't meet their defensive standards but his training and work ethic is towards the top of the group.

His defensive skills don't meet Neil Craig standards, that doesn't mean he doesn't work hard enough.

I was well aware of the list, kindly reproduced by Macca19. Have a look at the list. You don't have to be a schoolboy to know how to use the internet.

Over the last ten years there have been nearly 300 key forwards listed by AFL clubs. Taylor Walker has played more games as a young kid that more than 90% of them. Some future Coleman Medalists have had far fewer opportunities yet everyone makes a huge deal about the harsh treatment of Taylor Walker. I have never seen a game from Taylor to match Barry Hall in the 97 grand final.

Wow - Barry Hall? The 1997 Grand Final? Really? Have you watched the whole match or just the first half highlights?

First of all Hall didn't play as key forward, those positions were filled by Jason Heatley and Stuart Loewe. Hall was selected in the forward pocket but throughout the match played FP, HFF and Wing.

He had an average first quarter - I have seen Taylor Walker match that

He had an excellent second quarter kicking 3 goals - I have seen Taylor Walker match that

He had a quiet second half - I have seen Taylor Walker match that

He didn't rate in the Best Players - I have seen Taylor Walker match that

His team lost a Grand Final - I hope I dont see Taylor Walker match that

Overall I think Taylor Walker has matched Barry Hall's 1997 Grand Final Performance.

So thats Jack Riewoldt, and now Barry Hall, who are you going to throw up next to make my argument form me?

3) Taylor has been a tad disappointing this year is he a forward playing in front of the worst midfield in the competition, yes / no

The comparison with Jack Darling is not about stats. It's about one talented young kid that hits the contest hard, tackles hard and applies forward pressure and another talented young lad that doesn't.
You are aware that there aren't going to be umpteen examples of young key forwards who have played a huge number of games aren't you? You do know that these types of players don't grow on trees and that any club with half a clue would give their left nut to uncover one?

He hid the really good ones away by delisting them...you watch, we'll be trading away Talia and Tippett for high draft picks so that we can pick up gun midfielders, then we can use out late draft picks to re-draft Kite and Lee ;)

Craigy you sly dog :p

Still believe he's staying. But didn't like reading that this morning.

He'd be the worst type of player to lose. Not recently drafted, not living up to potential, not getting games. We'd get shit compo for him.

Meh, nothing more than pure speculation, bit like how Carro and Hutchy came out and professed that Tippett would without a doubt head to the GC.

Phil Harpers' comments are very encouraging. During the pre-season, Walkers management adviced the club that they would postpone talks until seasons end. Now they have changed it to end of June. If he wanted to/or has signed with GWS then they wouldn't even mention contract negotiations this soon.

He hasn't signed, those claiming he has have NFI, he may go, but I think he's a long way from being signed up.

The moving forward of talks could potentially mean that Walker's management has received an offer, or expect to receive one soon and want to see what Adelaide's reply is, or they've been expecting some sort of offer and nothing has been forth coming (which is personally my belief, I think they may be targeting someone else eg Otten as CC hinted at in "The Locker Room").

Maybe they realise that his stocks are sinking, rather than rising - and they now want to get a deal stitched up while he still has some value. The ironing tastes delicious.

One can only hope.

He's a player agent, what do you expect. They're complete tossers, and better at their jobs because of it.

I have no interest in agreeing to anything having to do with irrelevant crap, it has no bearing on anything within this club.
Adelaide as a whole has been far more disappointing then Taylor Walker and their efforts as a group dictate his. I listen to and see this actually irrational brand of scapegoating and behavior all to often, I don't care for any marginalizing spin added to spin.

There is no defensive pressure coming from the leaders of this club, your KPF do not lead you in pressure in this area as much as one might try and pretend. If Walker goes at every contest he's going to run himself and his player into Tippett because that's where the irresponsible get out kick is headed, if he is all the way up the field the structure of the team has already failed If your saying he's not physical in a contest then your seeing what you want to see in isolation from everything else and picking out his mistakes as a hanging offense where as the 20 or so free easy clearances to the opposition each game are completely of no concern to you because your more interested in this spin and distraction of someone people are hyping up and so you want to push him down....

He's better in the side you want him to fit into then in a side that functions, and thats the thing here they actually function in the SANFL side.

Again comparisons in isolation with players in different clubs, completely different setups completely different entrees,
A 3 on 5 opponents, brought to a ground ball contest at best with a sweeping defense run out with your backup pressure being 2 ruckmen makes for what exactly do you think?
The general situation Walker faces in the Adelaides forward line on most forward entrees this year.
If the mark is not taken the bounce not to advantage the ball is gone.
Quit skimming it's pointless it's as ridiculous as showing videos of toughness and going out and serving up the same stand still reactive play where you shovel the ball out to the opposition more often then not.
It's great to show videos of Dangerfield in the mid field then play him down forward most games, where were the other images of toughness in the midfield?

You are looking to find fault with something that is actual performing in kicking goals in a team that is broken and effecting no change on the systems that are completely out of order.

The entire bloody side plays bruise free uncontested football waiting in hope for the opposition to mess up while they stand still or jump around on the mark like net-ballers.

I'm over it I'm sure you grasp the point, we aren't at West Coast we aren't at Richmond we aren't anywhere of the sort and if these clubs dropped a forward when the midfield was a joke that was picking out opposition players with their passes, questions would be asked.

Yeah the golden ale is nice too. Paleys are also my staple, but I enjoy a sparkling and even a vintage every now and then.

Is the seven stars still a hole? I went there 13 years ago when I lived arond the corner (The Earl was my local) and it was an absolute dive!

Firstly I apologise for hijacking this thread and discussing beer, but it is an area that I have more knowledge compared to whether or not TW will walk...

The Seven Stars has gone through a big revamp and it is a great pub currently, they do fantastic tapas and their bar meals are also very very good, but the most impressive thing is that their bar staff don't think they are cooler than Angelina Jolie and are quite friendly!!! Very popular spot currently and thoroughly deserves to be!!

Now as for the GWS thieves they can sell it all they want but in the end they will not have long term players - it's not a footy area, it's not overly desirable, no family support etc etc if TW goes I wish him well but it will be a big mistake perhaps not financially but in the bigger picture.

Maybe they realise that his stocks are sinking, rather than rising - and they now want to get a deal stitched up while he still has some value. The ironing tastes delicious.
I didn't realise that mods were allowed to troll? We all know you don't like Walker Vader, no need to keep repeating the same thing over and over.

Couldn't resist with the cheap shot could you

They look very alike.

I made my Walker feelings CLEAR at the start of the year,it was after that hard hitting trial game against a wicked opponent in Richmond:rolleyes:

And you have repeated it ever since. What happened to giving it a rest because you had made your position clear.

I was just responding to the post below :thumbsu:

Sorry but you are losing it, my post was after you had another dig at Walker when you said you would back off with the repetitive boring jibes.
