Put another way.. even a blind man can hit the dartboard given enough throws.

Yeah or the broken clock thing.

You can feel the pressure lifting. Anyone expect it to rise further this weekend? Think back to Tipp and it all took off after he bagged 7. Tex seems to love playing freo, I just get the feeling he may slot a lazy half dozen or so saturday, turning things up another notch.

Well i think there's a difference between the big names they wanted to throw up as rumours for obvious attention and players like Campbell Brown, Rischitelli which were obvious inside info someone had and leaked.. They weren't stabs in the dark is what i was meaning..

The point is people know people that find out things and pass em on and that is what happened with some of the GC signings.. This with Walker may be an occasion of that has happened or someone trying to get some attention.. Which is all i was trying to say..

So basically it may be true, it may not. :D

And that's exactly how it stands :D

That was my point, people are and will be going on about this all year and not really know anyway.. I don't put much belief in the media either but sometimes some people "know things"..

As i said, i think he will stay.. Which i guess means i'm saying Biglands is full of it lol

The 70% thing i really don't get.. If the guy who told him knows so strongly, how is it 70%? :o

Taylor Walker needs to come out today and refute this rumor and say, he hasn’t signed anything with GWS and wants to stay with the crows. If he doesn’t, I’m sorry but the speculation will only grow.

If he doesn’t have anything to hide or worry about lying about staying at the club, he will make a statement but the longer it goes, the stronger his connection to GSW will become, even if he hasn’t made any commitment.

It was interesting to read Scott Pendlebury making a comment at the Peter Mac lunch yesterday about his intentions to stay at the Collingwood and Dane Swan made a similar comment (or even signed a contract) the other day. I wonder why no one has instructed Taylor to make a similar comment about his intended future....unless?

Hoping and praying that Taylor stays at the Crows. Kurt Tippett could be a real influence in whether he stays or not. Kurt got the same amount of money thrown at him and he saw the positives in staying at Adelaide so I'm sure he will be trying to convince Taylor to stay. The money will be hard to resist but we really could be a real premiership force if we are able to have the two of the best forwards in the league in 2-3 years time.

His body language on the field does not suggest that he has already signed for GWS.

If he decalres he isnt going he may as well sign. The idea is to make the crows pay top dollar to keep him. If he declares his intentions to stay then the gws factor doesnt really come into it, and all the advantage in the negotiation goes to the crows. Tex may want to say something but his management will be doing their job and instructing him to sit tight.

Does anybody know where Patrick Swayze is getting his mail from?

Dunno where his Walker mail comes from, but the fact that he's only 70% confident is a bit re-assuring.

When he's told me something in the past it's been a fact, a 100% fact not 70%.

I posted on here well before it became public knowledge that Marty Mattner was disillusioned with his role and future at Adelaide so Rhett and a few others convinced him for his own sake that he should go elsewhere - and that Marty was going to do exactly that.

I didn't say that it was Rhett who was my source at the time so he wouldn't get in the shit, but that was told by him as a 100% fact.

We all know that Walker is a target. IMO Rhett is only guessing the 70% on the law of probability of Walker being seduced by a huge annual increase in his contract.

If someone is not 100% confident then they don't know, they're guessing or assuming. IMO that's where Biggles is at.

Would you think he wants his management to commit suicide?

Bock came out and said he'd like to remain at Adelaide if it makes you feel better.

Translation, I'd like to stay here.....on the same money I've been offered elsewhere.

WTF?????

If he doesn’t say anything at all, this will be accepted as fact. He needs to come out and say, Rhett Biglands is talking nonsense or something to that effect. He doesn’t need to stay, he is committing himself to the AFC or will stay in Adelaide forever but what Rhett Biglands said, is not the truth.

We have too many other good players we need to pay well to throw stupid money at Taylor. If he stays it'll be for the right reasons... lifestyle, friends and a red hot crack at the next Adelaide Football Club premiership. I'm sure he'll be paid very well still...

Worst case scenario... he does leave... it's obviously a big contract offer and we'd be in the running for 2 x 1st round picks. He'd have to be offered huge money to leave for western sydney and leave what he has here behind.

Trying to think positive.

No it doesn’t. The idea of him playing and producing quality football is the thing that will increase his market value.

His management will make his contractual objectives perfectly clear, if they don’t pay him what he is worth, he will be willing to move clubs. And that information would be disclosed behind closed doors. If the public start to believe he is off, his value and support will drop so fast, it won’t be funny. They need to keep the supporters happy, not allow then to believe he is jumping ship at the end of the season.

All he need to say is, “The media speculation about me moving to the GWS franchise is wrong” and the heat will be removed. He doesn’t need to say anything about staying at the club, or revealing his intentions but simply say “The information Rhett Biglands has, is wrong”
But if he doesn’t, people will start to believe the press and his support will be gone and be gone forever, even if he does stay. Human nature is a fickle characteristic.

No hope of this.. They have a ranking system, potential and talent means nothing.. Bock had won a best and fairest not long ago and look what we got for him.. You have to an Ablett type to get two first round picks.. If Walker leaves not only will losing him be a kick in the guts, the compo will be :thumbsd:

Disagree. Our morale in these negotioations is not relevant to Tex's re-signing- as much as we would like it to be. Thats just nonsense, no one cares if the fans get nervous/unhappy in all this.

You keep the threat of gws there, then the crows may have to dig a little deeper than they want to, to keep him. Maybe do a torney on an older player to free up some room. I dont think anyone would mind if it was a stevens and or symes type. win/win

His management would have given strict instructions not to discuss these matters.

You're thinking of this issue from a paranoid supporters POV, not a players and especially not a managers.

Taylor doesn't have to say shit to dencounce what someone else says, least of all someone in the media. If players had to combat every little bit of incorrect detail int he media we'd have neverending press conferences.

Tex can say his the king of England for all I care, I'm waiting for the power of the pen.

Bock said the same thing - it's a useless gesture.

I'm sure Tex wants to stay at the crows, but we have to offer him enough dosh. We know GWS will offer him a huge amount, it's a matter of striking that balance.

GWS will give him so much cash that after 5 of 6 years, he'll never have to work again in his life. We'll need to offer him the same over the duration of his career, maybe over an 8 year period.

Same situation as Tippett, basically.
