It amazes me how the Indonesian officialdom is suddenly the bad guy becuase they handed out some terribly unfair and rough justice to what appears to be an innocent foreigner. Were people actually that naive that they expected fair play and justice from Indoensia. Look at their record over the last 20-30 years they have directly or indirectly murdered a 1/3 of the population of East Timor, nearly a million of their own people (in the opposition comminist PKI party) and untold numbers in Aceh. And all this, despite billions of dollars in aide from Australia, the USA, Uk etc.

Did we honestly expect anything less from them.
