Wow.

It is not known whether the senior players received an apology but what is confirmed is that Pyke and his bosses pleaded with the on-field leaders to maintain the faith and continue to place their trust in the football program. However the disenchantment among the Crows players as they head into an unexpectedly early two-month holiday should not be under-estimated.
This is unbelievable. The actions over the last 12 months have torn the AFC apart, and they are refusing to take any responsibility for it.

Chapman, Fagan, Burton - in any other world, their positions would now be completely untenable; they must go.

Sadly, if the reports are true, then Pyke should follow.

This is out of control. The playing group is being treated with contempt - when it’s not the admin or the executive that is the AFC; it’s the players.

I’m genuinely disgusted by the Adelaide Football Club.

For all things Simpson’s, yes we will! :p
Honestly, I'm glad this is all out. We said what we could, and I did a ton of research. I just can't fathom how the club picked this mob. Collective stupidity. You only have to research Mankind Project for 5 minutes to understand what went on.

My bet is the players haven't spoken out because the whole thing involves a pact of silence. It's cult practices 101

If they don’t take action now, we will piss away our premiership window - I can’t see the team coming back from this, without wholesale changes being made.

We’re going to waste another premiership window to protect the ******* administration - just like we did with Trigg.

Unbelievable.

The only thing that fixes this group is public admission by Fagan, Burton and Pyke and the sacking of Burton. There are Board members complicit in this too.

Nothing that has officially been said appears to warrant the player reaction we are now hearing about.

It is looking like the club has treated it's players and fans in contempt. I hope this is not the case, but it's hard to not draw that conclusion based on what seems to be coming out.

Goes to show that Sloane is a remarkable human being, considering what he has gone through recently and considering he agreed to stay with the club after what seems to have happened in the pre-season.

Not now we won't, they are going to save their own skins and get out to escape the heat.

Caro said Sloaney was one of the senior players that met with management this week.

Now if that’s correct, given what he’s going through, that should tell those who are doubting how serious this is, how bad it really is.
Also.shows how much the players want change.

Hopefully it happens and we are stronger next year.

This media heat even if a lot of it is tabloid in nature is a good thing.

The frustrating part is we have a long time to go before we know if any real change happens.

The 3vidence is in winning games. Which at the end of the day is all us supporters really care about.

I thought Chapman should have gone after the Tippett fiasco. He said he'd reveal how that stuff up happened and he never did (it's sill costing us on the field).

He got away with it. Therein started the culture of secrecy.

The CM and injury management stuff up this year, including the usual circling of the wagons, should see heads roll, including Chapman. The buck stops with him, he has been a weak and invisible leader of this club.

He must take responsibility and immediately step down after initiating an external review (i e not by one of his corporate mates.)

I think Pyke has done his bit TBH, the others not so much

"Allegations that Cesana’s report was presented to Burton but took too long to reach chief executive Fagan or the board were met with a ''no comment’' this week"
If they had any integrity, this by itself would almost be a sackable offense - the inference that he’s with held a report from the executive in a pure arse covering move.

Make no mistake, the AFC executive believe they are bigger then the Club.

Every decision we have made over the last 6 months has been designed to protect the administration, not for the good of the AFC.

I am staggered they aren’t being held to account - Rowe or someone needs to have the balls to unleash; do the right thing, even if it poisons his relationship.
