Massie has been absolutely brilliant, our best by a mile. Reilly's second term was also very good and his work around the stoppages was great.

Bock MUST stay at CHB permanently.

Perrie is playing one of the worst games of his career, and that's saying something. He's useless in these conditions and we should've gone with Campbell.

Apart from the great chase Gill has been ineffective. Douglas not up to it yet.

Torney, McLeod, Johncock and Goodwin have all been better than Massie, but I agree that he's playing well.
Agree on Bock and Perrie.
Gill has been okay. Perrie and Jericho have looked worse. At least his pressure has been good - that's what we need on a day like this.

We're right back in this.
If we can just rove to thier ruckmen this quarter and strangle thier scoring we'll be a chance to pinch it in the last.

Stiffy and Macca are having blinders down back Gilly and Burton are trying up front

Good point. :thumbsu: Gill's workrate has been good.

Jericho might look good out on his own, but does he EVER chase or apply pressure? Absolute dud.

Agree mostly. When Douglas has been on the ground he's looked good, had the three tackles so far.

Johncock is playing a great game, 17 posessions already :thumbsu:

Torney also doing well.

Shut down Ablett and Bartell and we are very much in it.

They have the breeze this Q.

We got alot of clearances that Q also.

Much better 2nd term. Very good even. But as always we can not put it on the board.

Johncock easily our best, Goodwin very good.

Free Kicks 12-12 - I don't think they've got one of them right either way. That idiot late in that term not letting Nathan Ablett kick the footy for about 5 minutes was laughable.

The backwards sideways tactic were very strange early in that term, given we had a huge breeze.

Bartel is killing us.

The defenders have been awesome.

Massie, Bock, Torney, Johncock, Mcleod, Stevens and Rutten have been playing like men possesed:thumbsu:

Would be nice to have blokes like Welsh and Mattner in there today to chase and apply pressure.

Great effort in the 2nd quarter by the lads. The goal in the last 10 seconds was disappointing. We can still do this just remember what we did last week.

Jericho has done one good thing and several awful things so far this game. So often we see a contested ball situation and Jericho is running along side and not putting the body in. ****in Mackie went in harder than him and won a 2 on 1 because Jericho refuses to put his body on the line. I can fully forgive Gill and Perrie for dropping grabs on a day like this, but when a player doesn't give 100% I reserve the right to criticise. Jericho never puts his body on the line. Jericho should not be playing.

Key stats.

Handballs: Geelong 114-59. Too many handballs by them in these conditions, we need to keep pressuring them hoping for a mistake

Inside 50s: Geelong 34-17. We need to bypass half forward some how. Perrie is getting smashed there, can't win a ground ball, opposition players just walking around him. Just put it in the hotspot 30m out from goal and make sure we have players at the fall of the ball for the crumbs. That is how we will kick our goals. That kick from Reilly to the pocket made me kick my TV.

Clearances: Geelong 20-11. After being down 8-0 not too bad of an effort. Maric and Griff just have to make sure not to give away cheap frees, our onballers can rove the Geelong ruckmen.

He contested a classic possession and won Drummond, take the blinkers off. He's doing ok.

Gill has played well, as has Griffin/Maric in the ruck. That second quarter we looked better with an A grade midfielder (Goodwin) in the middle rather than the mini-league midfield (shirley, douglas Thommo) of the first quarter. I wonder if you could try Perrie in the ruck and put Griff or Maric up forward? Bock is looking good up back too. Rutten doesn't look right. In this with a chance. We aren't handballing as much this week either.

Bartel 21 possessions to half-time - need to shut him down. Stiffy has 17 possessions, McLeod 14, Goodwin and Edwards 13 a piece. Thommo desperately needs to get in this game as does Burton.

Would love you to see Luke at Footy Park and let you repeat this> You'd pack the ****ts.

He is CLEARLY not.
For that one moment, I could show you 5 where he's run past the contest rather than putting the body in, resulting in us losing the 50/50 ball.\

Thompson, Reily, VB, Hirley, Knights, Douglas need to have the gam eof their lives in the 2nd half for us to be any chance.
