Now that umpires have access to stats, guys like Laird will.poll more in the Brownlow.
They should make them rewatch the game.

Yes, he's still at that stage of regression, where his good is outweighing his bad ......do we have an immediate replacement though?
Is English your second language ???
Have you really looked at Sholl's physique lately, the 2025/2026 Sholl is a far different specimen to the kid we drafted. He's 186cm and was 82 kg before the AFL stopped publishing weights last year and if anything he looks bigger this preseason. Size is not the problem.Daniel is built like one of those nuggety tractor like players, Sholl has arms like noodles. He's short and thin.

So WORNGJust on 5AA, the average amount of hamstring injuries across a club per season is 6. We’ve had five already. It means the program is WORNG. Our midfield is decimated and our draw is very difficult. It’s time to wet the bed.
What if it was?Is English your second language ???
Wouldnt say unpopular, just bizarre.Probably an unpopular opinion but I get this nagging feeling that ANB is about to head towards the cliff at a rapid rate.
"The bigger they are, the longer they (usually) take,"I think there’s a fair bit of overrating (edit- or unrealistic expectations) of McAndrew going on around here. He was delisted by the Swans and none of the 18 clubs thought him worthy to even have him as a train on. All that has happened so far is that he’s surpassed ROB, who was garbage soon after signing an extension (surprise to all) and has had a rule change that directly impacts how he competes at centre bounce.
I hope McAndrew guns it up for us, but so far, he’s not beaten an AFL level ruck in a game for premiership points.
Wasn't it junked because if it aint for points...Did they? They effectively took it to the glue factory by scrapping it in 2013. Mind you, I can't remember why unless this was an AFLPA thing, seeing it wasn't doing too bad on the spectator front.
They've featured Jones throughout the entire preseason, he's not getting abandoned after one anonymous game.24 played today

Not a silly option.
Cook potentially, he played there a bit in the 2nd half and looked good.
Caleb Daniel says hello.
Hes not got the intensity to play regularly at the level, size isnt the issue.
I think we would look much better without Laird.

They cant possibly trust him after a performance like that.
Whilst that is true, we did see Nank get himself involved in the game yesterday, and Cook when he was pushed upheld. From what I’ve been told, our wingmen aren’t meant to get the football, they sacrifice their game for the greater good by just running to certain places. You can’t judge a wingman by their stats.
We (fans) probably take his good stuff for granted and he did plenty of good things yesterdayI think we would look much better without Laird.
Modern game is ball movement. Laird actively turns the ball over and doesn't help with ball movement because he looks for short option first. We (fans) probably take his good stuff for granted and he did plenty of good things yesterday
However his errors were glaring, several under zero pressure, plus cost goals directly
Playing in front and bodied under the ball when the opposition is kicking with a howling gale... Does Nicks need to set up the drink bottles again but bring an electric fan?
The rookie errors our senior players make is absolutely criminal

As a rule though, we don't use our wingers. We got roughly 30 touches on average per game from Curtin and Cumming combined last year. A poor use of 2 potentially big weapons.
