Matty J and Reily not great today. One of them has to make way for Lyons or CEY. Also Pets didnt do enough today either, but had a couple of good games prior so its in keeping with the consistancy of all good small forwards. If he plays another dud game i really think the time has come to give Cameron a game or two just to see if can do something nice.
So we drop a player is probably top 5 in our b&f after his 1st poor game for the year?! Over reaction.

Reilly's time is nearing an end.

No, I mean injured today - perhaps exacerbated the one earned in the Geelong game. I don't expect him to play next week.
He has been playing injured all year!

Would expect he will play next week & rest week after.

F***ing fantastic, gutsy win - and if you watch that game and immediately come online to bitch and moan, you should give up watching the AFL, right after punching yourself in the face.

Great post. We did what we had to do. Got the 4 points away from home - missing Tex, VB, Crouch, Otten, VB, Hendo...

So it wasn't lucky at all?

You were confident of the win all the time?

We were lucky, nothing wrong with that and luck plays a huge part in 95% of all wins. Bloody hell.

Not as lucky as the Dogs would have been if they escaped with a win.

It appeared from your previous posts that you weren't happy with the way we won, and that luck was the sole or main reason. All I'm saying is that there were other factors (which I already mentioned).

And no, I wasn't confident when the Dogs kicked 3 quick ones from bad errors. But I thought from there, Jenkins and Sloane, rather than luck, were the main things that won us the game.

Let's be friends. We won.

IMO you can't pay both in the same side, it needs to be one or the other but not both

Just got home from the game and boy oh boy was it a close one!

Just a few pointers I was able to pick up basically sitting on the bench behind the Crows players.

- Josh Jenkins gets into the right positions and contests everything. Played well and kicked truly when we needed him
- Rory Sloane leads by example with whatever he does. Even his off the ball gut running is one of the best in the league. The amount of times he was able to spoil an opponent in the last 10 minutes when the Dogs were surging and to be able to force a ball up by holding the ball in, is what won us the game in the end.
- Dangerfield was again good, but the umpires need to look after him more. The amount of attention he recieved off the ball is on the Crowley mold.
- Lynch racked them up today. Played a great game as the high half forward, but he still needs a few weeks to get confidence in his arm.
- It was easily Pods best game for the club today. He is a man who knows that his spot is up for grabs with Walker returning soon and is putting everything into the next couple of weeks to cement his spot. 3 goals and a few beauty one handers was a highlight.

All in all, very good win and one we should be proud of. Now just percentage out of the 8 and with the Demons in Adelaide next weekend we should be looking to cement ourselves in the top 6 from next weekend onwards.

Very happy we won but 3 minutes wasn't very confident.

It doesn't matter his yiu win, as long as you do and you grab that luck and run with it. We did that today, many times before we haven't.

Good to see you go missing in the second half.

Was actually watching the game rather than posting every 5 seconds. I post 90% of the time during quarter time breaks or TV ads.

Maybe if you actually watched the games instead of posting every 5 seconds in the gameday thread you wouldn't get so much wrong.

So it wasn't lucky at all?
No, it was a 27-23 (scoring shots) come from behind win in a game where neither side kicked badly enough, or had enough injuries, or got a bad enough deal from the umpires, to say they were "unlucky". It was a good performance after a rubbish start. We are nowhere near playing as well as we should, and we should have beaten the Dogs more easily, but that doesn't mean we were "lucky" today.
You were confident of the win all the time?
No, of course not. So?
We were lucky, nothing wrong with that and luck plays a huge part in 95% of all wins. Bloody hell.
So the AFL is a 95% "luck" game? Rubbish. That's just a deeply pessimistic view. When we lose, it's because we are rubbish. When we win, it's "lucky".

It's not rose coloured glasses to be pleased with a win and to understand it was hard work, and not luck. That doesn't mean you think we're anywhere near where we could, or should, be.

Im talking more in the long term. We need to see if CEY and or Lyons can go forward and excel at the highest level. We know about both Reily and Matty.
No issue trying cey this week for Reilly but dropping mj after just 1 poor game would be madness.
