We lost at home to West Coast two weeks ago from an impregnable position, who are far below their best. Not sure I'd be bragging about it. Once they turned up in the second half, we were crushed. Our competitiveness against Geelong is significantly overstated. If they had kicked straight, they smash us. We were never winning.

And that's our high watermark. Honourable losses.

We're not beating the top teams. We're back to where we were before 2016. It's like the progress we made in the 2017 season when we finally got some of these clubs didnt happen.

What I'm saying is we can compete. I'm by no means bragging, but the fact you can't see us winning says more about your mindset.

We had plenty of chances to beat West Coast late in the game, but the trip from Brisbane took it's toll. That's my concern tonight, a lot of our players will be gassed after last week against an opponent who's game was over at half time.

To say we can't win is plain negativity

To be honest its best for the Club to lie and keep the final team as close as possible to themselves.

Correct - Cats and Eagles are probably current favourites for a GF spot.

To have been with both until pretty much time on in the 4th says much about our level against the very best currently.

I honestly don’t think we’re far off it - lose tonight without turning up will be a massive blow to the good faith and we can finally draw a line underneath this PG.

However they are still a somewhat flakey team at times away from home. Occassionally dish up an absolutely shitful display, especially when I tip them to break their MCG hoodoo.

Best chance is to jump them in the first 10 minutes. Get a few goals on the board early and dictate.

If they start fast I doubt we can catch them.

The idea that he was being held back as he couldn't play 3 games in 12 days shot down.

A bit like the posters who claimed Seedsman not brought straight back whereas others were was due to the specific type of injury, lay off length blah blah blah and not on ability (Seedsman was named emergency and ended up playing).

I cant see us winning, in fact they could bash us tonight esp the 2nd half. Im not sure if some posters have seen GWS games or not. They are that good. Any of their 3 key forwards would replace any one of ours easily. In fact no forward of ours would get a game for GWS, which says everything.

With that said, a fast manic start by us and the Ferraris may just park themselves in the garage and call it a night. Unlike the Eagles, if we lead by 5 goals we win the game.

Historically we play well against GWS here. But this year is a whole different kettle of fish. They are purring and apart from the scoreboard we got flogged by Melbourne. Surely we don't get within 4 goals. Only hope is the GWS AO hoodoo.

There's a difference playing catch up when it's against average teams that you should never be behind in the first place
