That, and the team lacks A graders. People on here have severley overrated the list. There's too many B-C graders that have been exposed, which will be further exemplified next year.

What's the underlying cause for this ??..
Somewhere along the line, the effort needed to win these games is lost on too many players.
50% of the team have what it takes, the rest are too slow, too old or not smart enough to make
the right decisions under pressure.(particulary our midfield )
Throughout the year we have seen ,we can match it with the best and we are still a relatively young team.
I'd love to be proven wrong and we come out with a qtr that makes me eat my words.
The Hawks went through a similar exit in their first finals series.
Bring on 2026

Hawthorn always have someone front and centre at every contest, every time the ball hits the ground we look confused and the Hawks rush it away unopposed

It's been something that's been occurring since the week after the showdown win. We seem to have multiple players all, unsuccessfully attacking the opposition ball carrier. The opposition get the ball out and use effective handball chains to move the ball around our players. It's been very consistent from us in the past month and half unfortunately.

Pretty clear the moment was way to big for far to many players.

This is result of not making finals for way to many seasons.

Goal should be to get home final again next season.

But aside from our midfield which desperately needs help--the front line must also be addressed.

Thilthorpe was atrocious in game 1. Fogarty has been an absolute non factor the entire set.

Lots of issues to address going forward and we could take significant step backwards
