Well, normally I would consider this a danger game for us. Now that we have a better defense, well normally, Melb did expose it, maybe Rich could too, but assuming we have our normal new grinding ability, we should be safe. In the past, sides ability to get easy out the back goals after we grind away trying to score for ten minutes was a frustration. That shouldn't happen tonight, especially with our full midfield complement in.

So what that means is we will see them just spend the whole match blocking up our forward area at all costs. We might be better off to just ping points and oofs when under heat rather than try and work it to get a good shot away. That will clear our forward area a bit and actually get a chance to get it back in there. Otherwise getting goals will be good too, as that clears the forward line best of all. Hopefully with a dominant ruckman we might get some good clearances from the center straight into the forward line to get some goals that way, against their short defense this would be a help.

Hopefully it isn't too slippery. That might help us make it more contested around the contests, which we like, but also increases the chances of slips etc letting it get outside and or over the back.

Another option is those side streets between waymouth and flinders have no limits after 6. You need to get early though. It's about a 15 minute walk to the oval in a crowd. The topham mall car park is only 8 bucks for the footy

There's also the botanic gardens, another 10 minute walk.
Cheers, looking to park on the northern side to get out easier, got a few ideas just not sure about time limits and game day restrictions.

Same request as last home game—those going better bring home a winner.

Time for night nights for me, catch everyone in a few hours

Wow, ROB has a very good chance to slam the door shut on Sauce's career tonight now!
Hopefully..

I’m sorry big Sauce... ROB isnt the most impressive/classy ruckman going around and he cant kick to save himself..

But hes gone past you bigfella..

Wow, so is Balta their lone ruckman or are they bringing in their 4th string?

Do teams have 4th string ruckman?

Carlton did.

;)

Jacobs was their fourth string ruckman behind Kreuzer, Shaun Hampson, Robbie Warnock

ROB isn't perfect, and he has his limitations, but he can run, jump, bend over, take a contested mark, and impact the play with physicality.

We haven't seen any of those traits from Sauce since mid 2017.

Good call. No Rance, no Astbury.
Grimes is a very very good defender as is Vlaustin. Young Garthwaite looks promising too..... but if Tex and JJ play with intent like they did last week, and we give them enough chances, they'll be hard to stop.

If you're not having luck finding a free street park, the Central Market Carpark should be a dependable option.

Night parking rates apply if you go in after 6pm on Thursdays and costs $7 (until 6.30am). Can then stroll out to Vic square and catch tram to railway station.

Would you be able to get on a tram at Vic Square on match night? I would have thought they'd be packed to the rafters?

I like that they've lost another player

Hopefully his flu runs through their team and incapacitates them

But i still worry about taking anyone for granted, the 2017 GF and last year broke me mentally

Well, broke me mentally more

Played just the 1 game in 2016 for them. 200cm project player.

Would have to be hungry for a chance.

Taking zero for granted tonight
Must respect every player and every team we play regardless of betting odds, injuries and expectations of outcomes. Bank the 4 points with any kind of win as long as we don't fall for the 'easy target' line, people are suggesting Richmond are becoming.

Would love to see Tex destroy tonight. Clunking marks, Bombing fatty's, bullying defenders!

I want to see it all come together!
I'd settle for 'clunks a few mark's and 'gives the first handball instead of thinking he's agile and getting caught holding the ball repeatedly'.
