Van Berlo was awesome for North today, made sure the Crows didnt get too far in front with his deft fumbles and clumsy mistakes.

It's no surprise that many around here have called for Sloane to be made captain. Both him and Dangerfield are easily the most inspirational Crows players from a spectators point of view. I'll be very disappointed if Van Berlo remains captain next year.

You know the players aren't taking the vote seriously if he does. Maybe VB could show the sort of grace Trigg should have and not allow himself to be talked into staying in the role

I feel sorry for you guy, seriously could have been a top 4 team this year.
I sometimes feel there should be a Wild Card entry for the 8.
His job on Harvey was excellent. Didn't do much offensively but you'd think after 15 damn years of watching Harvey rip us to shreds that we would appreciate having him kept quiet for a change.

You are correct. I should back up a bit. I feel he has had a very average year and his selection would have been in doubt had he not been our captain. Had he been dropped he may have come back stronger and better. Being made captain makes it hard for us to drop him. Today his insipid clangers was embarrassing.

His clangers almost cost us a game and I just do not feel he is the one to inspire us to win anymore.
Thats just my opinion.

My opinion is that we would not have been in a position to win the match without the job VB did on Harvey and he was one of the primary reasons we broke even in the clearances against the best clearance side in the comp.
I wish he offered us more offensively as well, but that doesn't detract from what he does well. He was important to us today.
