2nds Crows vs Port Adelaide - Round 13 @ Port Pirie

I was thinking that maybe he should spend some time down back as he doesn’t seem to know what to do when he is lead to the ball.

Then he was moved onto the wing/loose defender and as you say looks like Jack Watts.

I think he needs to take a little bit more time when he has the ball in general play but damn he has skill.
Could swap places at AFL level with Howard.
Marshall reminds me a bit of Darcy Moore who started slowly as a forward at AFL level but has become an excellent CHB.

While the Crows drafting over the last few years has generally been good, I think their recent few are pretty garbage. Not seeing much in Jones, Fogarty or Galucci.

I only watched the last quarter, had a quick read of the Crows board and they are gushing over Fogarty. Check his stats. Not that impressive. They seem to massively over rate this guy.

Could be the next Darcy Hourigan.

Cam Hewett showed “glimpses” today.

I understand why people thought he would make it, doesn’t mean he should have played 50 AFL games by now. He’s kicked more goals in 2 weeks than he did the entirety of last year ffs.

Yes I understand he was being played as a ruck instead of a forward where he has shown way more, but he was drafted as a ruckman and didn’t show anywhere near enough in that role.

I just don’t understand the “sucked in ken” crap. He was given a chance this year and was kind of terrible in the game he was dropped for, it doesn’t mean anyone has written him off, he just needs to learn a bit more before he becomes a regular at AFL level.

I’d absolutely be bringing him in, but I can understand why we wouldn’t given our forward line seems to work well with Dixon, Howard and Ebert as the marking options, with Rozee, Butters and Sam Gray as the mosquito fleet.
You can wiggle it anyway you like but he always looked better as a forward than a project ruck & should've spent far more development time as a forward.

I agree but given our ruck stocks at the time I can understand why we played him there (we literally had no choice most weeks).

I’m worried we will lose him as it’s gonna be hard for him to crack into the side with Howard in stellar form and Dixon being Dixon. I think it would be the right decision to play him as we need to a) keep him and b) develop him at AFL level, but I can see Ken etc. holding off if we win this week.

I reckon we replace Bonner with Broadbent, and Sutcliffe with Frampton. Motlop, Butters, Sam Gray and Ebert should all be at risk of losing their spots as well, given Marshall and Woodcock look pretty great IMO.

I like our midfield balance as it stands, especially with Houston running through there.

He's basically a Walker clone. Except that's Taylor Walker now, not the one of a few years ago.

His future!
No, No and No.

I'm over our recruiters recruiting forwards and coaches turning them into defenders.

Develop them as bloody forwards.

Yea we have a real balance issue with talls I mean it's a good problem to have but I'm not playing Ladhams as a forward/pinch hit over Frampton as Bill is the better forward by a long stretch.

Ladhams has become a very good young Ruck but he needs to play solely in that role at AFL level IMO add in Hayes coming through it's gonna be a dilemma to keep them all.

Had no impact. He's too fat and slow. The things they probably love he wouldn't get away with at afl level. Sling tackles, late hits, cheap shots, plus the fend offs and breaking through tackles that work against less developed players
