It seems to me that blockchain is seen by some as a way to escape the old systems held by banks etc. But if you can't even track big swings that manipulate the market, seems like we are just changing systems being controlled by big players anyway.

Fundamental differences between the two systems, but hey who cares about the big picture...

Can you track big swings in traditional stocks? Back to individuals and/or companies?

All the information is on the respective blockchains, down to each individual's balance and coin holdings and ins and outs. Everything is there if you want to see it.

I'm not sure the exchanges are going to provide you a free-of-charge listing of trade activity, even if they had a service that punches that out.

Could be a good idea for a d'App!!

You can track trades of directors in the ASX easily. Individuals I'm not sure of.
I took it from the other poster that crypto trading infirmation was impossible to find. So every individuals trades are available? I thought crims like to use it for anonymity.
Maybe I don't understand it enough, but crypto seems to be the same thing in a different format.

was great to see this today. took some profits interested to see how high it goes.

Where do you get the alerts from?

EDIT I'm pretty sure Krypto is on here too.

Is Reddcoin a shit coin or what? I like that $100 can bag you nearly 5000 coins but is it going anywhere?
It will go up and down a big way buy eventually it will come. Social media coin of the future for me. Do the homework.

In terms of Bitcoin, the wallet addresses are anonymous but the ledger is public. What this means is that while no one knows who might own a particular wallet there is a very clear "paper trail" in the form of the ledger. So should a particular wallet be linked to you or anyone else then the money can be followed.

For instance, you might have opened an account with one of the exchange websites and purchased some BTC. This goes into a wallet generated for you by the exchange. You might then send your BTC into another wallet generated by yourself away from the exchange. Should someone (say the ATO) get access to the exchange's records for auditing then they would be able to link your AUD bank account to the BTC wallet generated by the exchange and they'd then be able to follow the money to any other BTC wallets those funds went to.

So a person could try and dodge taxes and buy illicit goods, but it would remain possible for the money to be followed and wallets to be identified at some point - maybe well into the future. This is why many people claim that the most successful coins will offer some form of true privacy by obfuscating transactions while still ensuring the integrity of the ledger.

There is 293 trillion globally invested in property (can't recall if this included commercial. I don't think it did). Do you really believe crypto could really get that high by years end?

It’s a big call but no way only a year ago I even considered a trillion. Now it could happen any day now. Come close before Xmas. I may be pushing it saying 20 trillion but this crypto is getting more and popular by the day. And I believe big players are yet to play. The climate is changing in regards what people want and do with there money.

Interesting, ill keep an eye out if you post any others ;)

Hurts a bit actually. Though I hold a small stake in CND and have made good money off it I held a much larger position at .04 before the crash. Sold them off shortly before everything went down to get into ICX. But seeing 22c today makes me wonder if I should have held more.
