This Crypto stuff is trail blazing... I just managed to get a hold off 5000 odd QSP (Quantstamp) coins for 1.37 ETH that cost me 380 bucks 3 weeks ago...

So in a sense at ETHs price today when i did it i got paid 200 australian dollars to buy the QSP...

This is the best thing I've learnt in decades...

That’s why I’ve gotten really into Ripple recently. Very different from a lot of others in that it’s got a very effective real world use and isn’t just an alternative form of currency.

Dirt cheap right now with a long term plan and some big names jumping on board. It’s not going to moon any time soon, but if you’ve got $500 bucks sitting around grabbing a couple of thousand units and sitting on them for a few years could prove very nice if things go to plan for them. No guarantees it will of course, but I really like what they’re doing.

Ripples a great coin. Frustrating not seeing big gains quickly like other coins but honestly the tech and team are excellent. Good long term choice with little risk compared to other coins.

I'm done for now but here's my review from my experience

Patience to HODL, I lack it!!! However, when I think I'm able to HODL, like now, something comes up, need to cash out my coins for something going on in the "real" world.

Coinspot, i trust it, has a massive amount of coins to buy. But, yes the fees, also, you can't set your sell price (you can at BTC), and there locked buy and sells are buy high sell low, that sucks. I'm up on reddcoin, but would have to sell at a loss because of fees and there lower selling price.

BTCmarket, excellent, buy and sell and your prices. But they only have a selection of 6 coins vs 60+ at coin spot. Fees are way lower, but they have an annoying Poli fee. over all still win on the fee side of things.

I'll come back and start over again, but I'll be looking for that competing exchange that takes AUD and hopefully with Poli. BTC for bitcoin, ethereum, lite coin and ripple. Need a new host for alt coins with hopefully just as a good a selection if not more than coin spot.

Totally agree....I'm starting to accumulate Ripple/XRP now.

Coinbase sent an email today, amongst other things basically telling users that if there's a crash, you won't be able to withdraw your coins fast enough as the whole system will be flogged.

I'm thinking it would be a good idea to have verified accounts on multiple exchanges that cater for $ withdrawals.

That and using a wallet of course.

Really keen in getting into cryptocurrency in the past month, wanted to have a look into Bitcoin, ethereum and litecoin at the moment, by the time I've been verified I purchased bitcoin first at 25k!

Have to remember that BTC is used to trade most of these coins, so it's expected that they will drop along with BTC's price this week after its enormous few days. This time next week things will probably have calmed down a bit.

I'm thinking of dropping a decent amount in IOTA. Just teamed up with Microsoft and a few others that saw its price go from 70 cents to $5 (I was going to buy months ago too ). I reckon it has the most potential by a fair way including Ripple. Internet of Things is going to be a trillion dollar market and IOTA is a big part of it.

I made a decent amount in ETN (Electroneum), they are releasing a heap more coins this week so it should drop down to 3-4 cents. Definitely worth reading into their technology, I'm a bit turned off due to their disaster of an opening.

Yeah I know that. Usually you see either bitcoin go up and the other alts down or vice verse but not all at once in the same direction. Another big drop for all would create some good buying opportunities.

The large institutions may buy a lot of put options and then attempt to force the price of BTC down, so yes you are right better to wait.

ok ive got massive FOMO after watching Bitcoin make headlines for the past few months. Reading about all of this feels like some sort of 21st century gold rush online.

Have made an account on BTC Markets with the intention of spreading a few hundred dollars across 3-4 cryptos. Expecting my deposit to transfer around Wednesday so got time to invest in a hardware wallet if thats what they are called.

One thing though i feel like the Bitcoin boat has sailed. Not going anywhere near it. The 3 month chart is ridiculous and theres only 1 way it can go from there.
