You just need to get your wallet address on Binance and go on BTC markets to send it there. Not sure if you have to generate the address first like you do on Bittrex. Make sure you're sending whatever coin to the right coin address on Binance. If you're sending Eth it has to be to the Eth wallet.
cheers. Did followed these steps and double checked. LTC sent to Binance, havent received yet. How long does it generally take?

Hold 90% in a hardware wallet, 10% or whatever you feel comfortable using to get in on something at a pinch that you can’t wait the few hours transfering it out of the wallet back onto exchange.
Got any recommendations for a good hardware wallet that can hold multiple currencies?

Or is XRP the sleeping giant? Obviously very modest growth in the past 6 months but are they the one that we'll be looking back in 1 years time saying shit I should have bought it when it was less than $1 and now it's $500....???
well im positive that XRP has a good future for rising in value, but because of the amount in circulation it just isnt going to hit massive heights. 38 billion in circulation. For it to hit $500, that would mean the total value of XRP would be around 20 trillion. For some perspective, the global economy is around 80 trillion. So yeah, XRP isnt going to have 1/4 of the worlds economy.

Ill be stoked if it one day hits $10.

Yep this. We have to keep in mind the market cap relative to BTC as one since this is effectively a proxy for crypto in the current market; and also relative to the other top alt currencies. Weigh up the pros and cons on a fundamental basis and potential future value to gauge whether a high price on an alt is probable and feasible.

The only thing i would add is that ive read that some cryptos do a "coin burn" to reduce the amount of coins in circulation.

Decentraland (MANA) is supposed to be doing a coin burn in the next 48 hours:

In the lead up to this burn, MANA has jumped in price:https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/decentraland/#charts

Will be interesting to see if the price of MANA continues to rise after the burn, or if people just dump off the back of the news.

On BTC Markets website for BPAY it says $500 minimum, can I transfer less than that?? e.g $200?

Has anyone else here using BTC Markets & BPAY had any dramas??

Cheers

I BPAY'ed $300 before noticing there was a minimum. It cleared ok but took a few days.

Warning for those who use Google Authenticator, I heard if you lose your phone then you're screwed because the account isn't backed up.

Unfortunately, Binance doesn't support anything other than Google Authenticator, but I use Authy for other exchanges.

Bit of a worry of mine. However making sure you're phone is backed up surely solves this?

EDIT having the code you get when you enable 2fa backed up on paper helps -- just went back and did this! ;)

XRP will be sold on Coinbase next year! Waking up to that news, and the rise that came with it, was awesome.

This market is just amazing.
XRP getting onto to Coinbase cannot be underestimated. So many people getting onto Coinbase everyday. So imagine you’re a newbie with $100 to spend and you login to see:

Bitcoin at $25,000
Ether at $1050
Litecoin at $450
XRP at $1.15

That means you can buy

0.004 BTC
0.095 ETH
0.222 LTC
86.95 XRP

Psychologically, XRP is going to give you biggest sense of ownership. It’s all about percentages obviously, but human nature is going to say “I’m more likely to make money if I hold 86 of something as opposed to 0.004 of something”.

So literally EVERYONE new to Coinbase will buy Ripple, and this shit will go boom. And that’s not even factoring in Asian/Indian banking trials and the “two household non-banking names” that are rumoured to be Amazon and Uber announcing partnerships.

The only problem is that there are 100 billion of them. I can’t see it rising to more than $5-$6 because of it. Still a great return even if you jump on now.

Because the banks are backing it it should hold its price when it peaks. They will want something stable if it becomes a large exchanging tool. Exciting times.

If anyone's using Shapeshift Prism XRP is also available there.

Great to see after 3 years of me banging on about XRP on this forum I'm finally getting some validation for doing so.

How's retirement?

I blindly threw about $3000 on it when it was around 5 cents because of your posts.

Cheers campaigner:thumbsu:

When it was around 15 cents I was going to wait for it to fall back to single digits and put another $5000 in but it never fell back:(.

i hold 34,000 XRP, today has been exhilarating

Wow nice work.
Do you own other coins or just ripple? What did you get in at?

On the negative side, 2 days ago was probably not a good time to get into IOTA:$

For the longer term plays like XRP and IOTA I don't necessarily think there's a bad time to get into them right now

That said, XRP is probably due for a correction just like IOTA, and that's when I'm going to jump on and get some more XRP. Hopefully that happens. If not, then I'm still happy to see XRP rise

For the ETN fans, to which I am not, it has popped up on coinmarketcap at #44.
It’s one to watch out for with all the hype around it.
If it’s going to make me money, I don’t care how scammy it is.
