I bought some earlier in anticipation of the same. Fingers crossed.
It’s gonna go big this year. It’s 46% of my portfolio atm. Love to see a 30% plus rise.

In this environment, I go big when I'm not sure. It works 2/3 of the time.

Target for this move at approx $1319 eth/usdt.
It's possible that we've topped in the short term. I'm expecting a downturn very soon before we moon.
Sold some of my stack already because nothing is quite as good as banking profits.

Good luck gents - that's a big allocation shift of Btc to Eth (Evolved, maryjames). Probably will pay off, but for me I'm happy to stay 70% BTC, 20% YFI and 10% Eth for now.
Every trade has tax consequences which I can't be bothered dealing with right now.. Will probably just hodl with that allocation til the end of 2021, taking out only 20% of each at some point in the year TBD

One of my biggest regrets from 2017- Jan 18 was holding on to coins far too long because of the tax benefits. I lost multiples of 6 figure profits doing that. Crypto is too volatile to be sweating over capital gains benefits.
You don't need to deal with taxes if you use software. It's easy to download your trades and let the software deal with it. Just be sure to take out 50% of your profits before June 30 and you're good.
I'm seeing moons and lambos right now, but I'll run for cover if the TA changes.

If the -13.63% crash in Bitcoin or -16.92% crash in Ethereum over the last 24 hours has caused you any anxiety you're too heavily weighted and now is the time to sell off a portion of your portfolio. Sell it, set aside the applicable amount for tax and invest the rest into shares/property/whatever else.

What's happening on Saturday?
Huuuuuge triangle bottom to top formation looks to be taking place. Triangle will finish sometime Saturday. If this plays out we could be at 2000 plus USD. Easy. I believe this will happen.
Worst case 22% fall and that’s it. But I’m bullish as f
What’s important when all crashes and goes through slow 2 year period and hit lows of lows buy up. Patience patience. BULL RUN. can’t lose.

Naah. It’s a patience game. You gotta make sure you have back up in fiat..
Remember eth was only 10 bucks in January 2017 then went to 1800 AUD January 2018.
Just got to make sure you take profits near the top. That’s the difference for mine..
This is till October for mine this bull run. If repeats...

My strategy involves taking profits when things get out of hand on the way up, and buying more when things get out of hand on the way down. I see us going past 50k USD BTC before a bigger dump.
If things go pear shaped, I'll re-evaluate. For now, risk on.
The political and economic context of this bull market should be taken into account. 250k USD is a reasonable target for late 2021 or early 2022. Zero is also a reasonable target...

Ok my son wants to invest some money in crypto. I have no idea where to start advising him. He has a couple of grand only. any thoughts would be appreciated. I am also making sure he puts a couple of grand in a moderate risk portfolio like BT investment or something like that. He has saved some dough and I do not want him to do the same mistakes I did, if anyone wants to pm me would be grateful.

If he can accept the possibility of losing everything, that's a good start. A safe allocation would be 70% BTC and 30% ETH.
Most shitcoins have one massive pump (at best) before they die. Don't invest in shitcoins. Everything other than BTC and ETH is a shitcoin afaic.
He'd do well to go all in right now tbh. We've just had a correction, so he can be sure that he's not buying the absolute top if that provides any level of comfort. There's at least a few people who are willing to buy his bags at higher prices than we have now.
