The votes are in and we are in the process of making a new crypto forum. This thread will be migrated but I do like the idea of having a dedicated shitcoin thread. Let me know if you have any ideas for the new forum. One I was thinking of was a shitcoins for dummies thread. I am thinking bzparkes could lay out the steps to get started in this land of milk and honey.

Might be worth having a FAQ thread to cover off the basics in general, as people do regularly come in asking how / where to buy their first crypto then tumble down the rabbit hole from there

I told myself I’ll sell if/when it loses a zero…but now the greed says to just ride it out and see what happens.

Surely there must be some risk? Or should I just go any buy $100k of BTC and stake it right now to make a cool $60k in 7 days?!?!

I think OpCat keeps going up for a while yet though, it's only a week old. Plenty of similar tokens have much higher market caps.

I've just taken ~ 50% of my current holding out, so I've got my original stake + the same again + taken the ~ 10 x gain with that 50%. Can moonbag the rest now.

(b) is basically your only risk, DeFi works pretty well through stuff like Binance where it's not super speculative, and using coins you'd be HODLing anyway

Yeah I can do up a small DeFi tutorial/guide for those with no experience or apprehensive to try. I'll also post a list of things to keep an eye out for to hopefully assist in avoiding scams.

In addition to the above, the max ETH that can be staked to earn 60% APY is 0.075 (locked for 7 days, interest comes into your account after this). 1.3 ETH can earn 20% APY (7 days fixed again) and then anything higher earn 4.5% for 7 days and 5% for 14 days. Definitely the best I’ve seen across these type of platforms, with Nexo, Celsius and BlockFi the other main ones.
 
I have a coin I bought about $250(I think it was) on Pancake swap 3 or 4 months ago, it was my first foray into PS. It then went steadily down to be worth about 3 bucks. I'm browsing coingecko last night in the large movers category and I see this coin... that has done absolutely **** all but bottom out for 3 months, has had a 300% increase from nowhere. It's now worth about 12 bucks but seems there is some news coming today. Anyone had this before? A seemingly dead or rugpull coin come back from the dead?

The coin is Checoin.

It looked like it was still trading so not really back from the dead. I've seen some that have just ceased to be trading

I’m pretty sure Polygon went through something similar early on and everyone thought it was a scam
